All of our pottery experiences are one-time, two-hour sessions guided by local Santa Fe artists and geared toward travelers, newbies, and anyone looking for a fun introduction to pottery. At the end of class, students will recycle their pieces, but you need not walk away empty handed. Each student gets $15 off of a piece from our gallery, which is full of pottery handcrafted by our teachers.
In the wheel-throwing experience, students will dive into the most popular method of making ceramics. Working at the wheel is a meditative, yet challenging process. In this two-hour class, our potters will take you through the process of throwing a piece of pottery on the wheel.
In our hand-building experience, students will learn the ancient techniques of working with clay by hand through sculpting, coil-building, or slab-building. The slowness of these methods allow for deeper connection with the material and total freedom of expression through clay.

First time throwing a pot! Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. Hands on guidance and exceptional instruction by Pigeon was extremely helpful.

My husband and I had a lovely time learning to throw on the wheel...our instructor was so friendly and helpful. We would take classes if we lived in the area.

I participated in the pottery experience while on a girls weekend in Santa Fe. So much fun. I did learn I am not very good at the wheel - but it didn't matter because I had a great time and left with a much greater appreciation of what goes into making pottery pieces. The instructors and everyone working at Paseo were super friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The others in our group were a variety of ages and genders. Everyone had a fun experience and learned something. I highly recommend.

Had a great time with the entire family. The instruction was great and it was super cool being able to work in the studio amongst the artists for a couple hours. We were all super thrilled with our finished pieces, even if it meant destroying them at the end!

Had a super fun experience at Paseo!!! We got to learn the basics about throwing pottery on a wheel, and it inspired both of us to take a series of classes once we got back home to Colorado! Thank you Paseo--and Aio for the fun class!!
