• Great 2 Hour Overview of the Area Outside the City

  Booked this on TripAdvisor (with a discount code) for $102.17 for two people. The company was great at answering questions and providing information before arrival. When we arrived to the port (on a cruise ship), there were multiple buses waiting but not all had signs but after asking around, we found our nice mini-bus. The guide/ driver was very friendly and had lots of information to share (he even brought his young son with him, who rode along quietly). The ride to Bolafjall is very pretty and gives you a different flavor of the area that you would miss by just walking around Isafjordur. The tour is primarily a drive up some steep roads (if you are very scared of heights, you might not like the 10 minute steep drive up the mountain and back on a dirt road with no rails) and then you get about 30 minutes at the top to admire the view. Amazing view and some nice pictures but there is really nothing there. He then took some alternate routes back and even gave us a brief stop at an overlook of an old fishing village (this was a bonus not advertised). He then delivered us back at the ship about 2H10M later, right on time. Overall we were very happy with this tour for a short little sample of the area.

• A quick and nice break

  Tour was OK and straightforward. It was only two hours so we were taken directly to the viewing platform to spend a few minutes there and to enjoy the view. Not much to do...just enjoying the video and take several good photos. Another quick stop to see an old fishing village was included. Tour guide was good and provided good remarks and information.

  Beautiful views around the community despite poor weather conditions at the platform. Our guide, a native Icelander, went out of his way to make the trip memorable and was very informative throughout the tour. He answered our questions and communicated clearly. I would definitely recommend this tour as part of your experience in Iceland.

  Was a great trip and very knowledgeable tour guide. The road is absolutely terrifying though in the bus. The driver is really good and does it all the time so no worries. The platform and surrounding area is great to explore

  In spite of the dense fog which made viewing impossible, our driver made up for it and took us to see some different sites. Super interesting and informative tour. We all enjoyed it.
