Alin was a wealth of knowledge and gave a great introduction to the history and sights of Dublin. He kept it moving, yet was happy to answer questions.

We did this on our first afternoon in Dublin and we are so glad we did. Allen, our guide was so great, you could tell he Loved the city and wanted to share its history and culture with us. He was funny and engaging and it was never boring or too much info. My husband and I felt like it was the perfect intro for our stay in Dublin. We had lots of ideas for what we should do next by the end of our time with Allen.

A great introduction to Dublin. We always pick a walking tour as our first outing in a new city. Alin was great. We learned a lot of history by also helpful information about the local restaurants and pubs.

I enjoyed this walking tour very much. The guide was knowledgeable, interesting, and pleasant even when I asked questions that were unusual. It helped me to get oriented to the city and discover some places I wouldn’t have gone on my own, like Trinity College and the Temple Bar area.

  • Great way to see the highlights of Dublin

Great introduction to the sights and history of Dublin in 2 hours. You see the outside of many of the major sights that you can go back to later to see the inside when you have more time. Alin is a wealth of information and interesting stories.

I did not want to write this review because our guide (his name was Allyn, I hope I’m not misspelling it) seemed like a nice guy and I don’t normally leave bad reviews. However, since I myself chose this tour based on high rating, and found it extremely misleading, I’m leaving this feedback here in case someone else finds it helpful. I knew the tour included no admission tickets to any attractions but was hoping that during 2 hours of walking we will learn some interesting/fun facts about landmarks and other places we were passing by. Instead, we just stopped by 4 places with the guide explaining the most basic facts that you’d probably already knew before even coming to Dublin. I can safely say now that I learned more from the taxi driver on the way from the airport to hotel than from this tour. For example, when we stopped by the Temple bar, all the guide had to say about it was that it was crowded and overpriced. I hoped to learn more about the history of the bar, family and maybe some other not-that-obvious facts. I don’t think that was an unfair expectation on my side as the tour specifically advertised that while no entry tickets are included, this will be balanced by a rich narrative including a lot of interesting facts. Also, it took around 10 minutes to get from one place to another and during this time we passed some interesting places that the guide did not comment on at all and which made the tour even more boring as we walked mostly in silence or with the guide trying to make personal conversation with guests. All in all, this was not worth the money. I could get the same, maybe even better experience, by just reading free booklets/plaques in front of each of the places. Cannot recommend as it’s not a good value for the money.
