Surf lessons with high quality for all levels (beginner, intermediate and advanced) in Portugal on the beaches of Peniche and Baleal. Learn how to surf with sports teachers, experienced surf coaches (Portuguese Surf Federation), and local surfers from Peniche! The surf course has ten lessons, two hours each. The goal of this course is to improve your surf level with the appropriate feedback, the appropriate support, and the appropriate methodologies depending on your level. All this with a smile and making all moments full of happiness and achievements.

What To Expect
The travelers will learn to surf (in 1 lesson, you have warm up for 10 minutes, instruction for 20 minutes and practice 1h30m in the water) with local surfers, surf coaches and sports teachers. We are in the best location to learn how to surf in Peniche, an extended sandy beach with lots of breaking points. The teachers love to surf and teach, sharing their love with all students!

5.00Excellent set-up with Nuno and the team. We had 2 lessons with Francisco, who was clear, encouraging and very patient. Good fun, mostly (!) as surfing is a proper workout. We also hired bikes from here for half a day and was great to cycle through Baleal and further up the coast for beautiful views.

5.00I had a fantastic experience with Special Surf 78 and would thoroughly recommend them. The booking process was easy and flexible and my instructor, Pedro, was friendly, clear and really keen to help me improve. The session made a big improvement to my ability in a short space of time. They were also very focused on our safety as well as making sure we enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended for surfers of all levels.

5.00We really enjoyed our surfing lesson, there were lots of small waves to practice on so we never had to wait for a wave (early September) our instructor was great and easygoing. We had never surfed before but we were able to stand and surf small waves on our own by the end of the 2h private lesson! It was our favourite part of our trip to Portugal.

5.00Tried surfing for the first time. Took 5x2h surfing lessons. Both me an GF achieved good results above our expectations. Instructors were friendly, and helped out a lot, with good advice end tips. Small group sizes in lessons helped a lot for quick progression. Combined with stay in "Star Inn" hotel where surf school is located experience was perfect - beach was just across the road from hotel.

They are all super kind, they provide you with everything you need to start surfing and last but not least they take care of you and they are only happy when you enjoy surfing.
