What To Expect
Comuna13
Comuna 13 was one of the most dangerous neighbourhoods in Medellin just 20 years ago, but it has been transformed to a very colorful vibrant place. The change started when the government built escalators in the area thus connecting the area to the city of Medellin, in fact these were the first escalators installed in Latin America. We will be walking through the Comuna 13, taking in the best views, hip street art and also taking the journey on these outdoor escalators. I've lived in Comuna 13 for most of my life and have witnessed the change with my own eyes, I am happy to introduce you to the way locals and explore the best spots in the area.

5.00My daughter is a 19 year-old college student and we took the tour together with Johan as our guide.Johan was exceptionally knowledgeable about Comuna 13 and its history. He was funny and attentive throughout the entire tour. He was born in Medellin and educated at a local university — his English is great (our Spanish is terrible so that was appreciated). Johan took us to the best spots to take photos. We left the tour with a thorough understanding of how important the culture and history of this area helped to shape the entire region. Johan was even gracious enough to be sure we got a cab to go safely home. We would highly recommend this tour with Johan

From collecting us from the airport, transporting us around the city and also both arranging and joining us in tours. Speaks perfect English and very friendly. He made us feel very safe and relaxed.
