The trek was an absolutely fabulous unique experience. Gani is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around and share our 3 days with. Staying with remote mountain families, and seeing how they live and survive is such a privelage. Home cooked food is absolutely delicious, plentiful and nutritious. The walk was partly up in the clouds for us, which added to the sensation of remoteness, but when the clouds lifted the mountain views, including snow capped peaks, were breathtaking. Part of the walk is steep and technically challenging and not for the unfit or poorly agile ! (We wisely left our husbands behind in Baku!) All in all a sensational trip!

This three-day hike was the highlight of our visit in Azerbaijan. It was a very well planned and organized trip from the beginning to the end. Not only did we get to experience the amazing Caucasus mountains but also learned so much about the history, life, and culture of the country. The half-day visit in Guba was a perfect start for the trip. Enjoyed the museums, mosques as well as the baklavas from the local bakery shop:) The peace of the nature and possibility to get a glimpse of the life in the remote villages was something special. Local guest houses were cozy, people were friendly, and the meals were wonderful. Just a hint: If you are lucky you can buy the warmest and most beautiful knitted woolen socks in the village of Qriz.. Biggest thanks to our guide Gani who was very knowledgeable, took good care of (us) everything and also shared interesting stories about the life in the mountains and Azerbaijan in general. Also got some ideas to explore Baku. We can highly recommend this trip, or any other trip organized by Azerbaijan Traveller.

WOWW! What an experience! We were in Azerbaijan for the F1 in Baku but wanted to take the opportunity to explore the whole country. After this tour we can say we saw azerbaijan! Our guide Gani picked us up at the hotel with a private car with driver (there was aerco). The 1st day we drove all over the country and made some stops. we now saw how people really lived in azerbaijan, we saw mosques, we ate local food, it was realy nice! our guide Gani spoke perfect english and knew how to tell us everything about the country and its history. Then we drove to the mountains where we joined our first guest family. Immediately we were welcomed hospitably and given delicious food. We spent the whole evening talking to them, which gave us a better idea of how the locals lived in the mountains. The day after, the hike started, beautiful nature. i've already been to Alps this was at least as beautiful. There was also more than enough food provided and we saw some beautiful animals. then we arrived in the next mountain village. Here the people were also very friendly and we got some good food. The last day we had a nice hike ahead of us. after which the private driver came to pick us up. We stopped for lunch and drove back to Baku. Gani gave us some more tips for our last night there. If you are going to visit azerbaijan, I definitely recommend this tour. You get to see the whole country and it's super safe. you meet locals and taste local food. Blessed experience!

My Friend and I had an amazing experience during this 3-day hiking tour. This tour gives you the ultimate experience of Azerbaijan's most precious nature and the atmosphere of the villages high in the mountains. From the departure in Baku everything is included and the guide takes care of you from tasting local food, visiting historic monuments, to a stunning hiking tour. If you want a full experience of Azerbaijan (meaning the life outside beautiful city of Baku), then I highly recommend this trip. The local guide is very fluent in English and tells you everything about the history of the country. During hiking in the mountains he foresees as well (in case you need it) food and drink supplies. The overnight stay is in local houses in the remote villages and the families that live there treat you in a very nice way and provide you with (too) much food and drinks. Amazing Tour & Experience!
