The 3 day winter tour was excellent. A personable, non-scripted experience that really pulls you into the adventure of Scotland. The winter tours offer a smaller group size and vehicle which allows you to explore more hidden locations that large coaches cannot access. Our driver/guide Graeme was an excellent driver and story teller who creates a friendly and personable tour. I would highly recommend Highland Explorer Tours to anyone looking to really experience the magic of Scotland.

Great, all good! Great stories. Great guide. Loved all the activities, the bus was very nice, the hotels very nice as well. Maybe get into the castle would upgrade the experience, but all good.

Just back from the 3-day Isle of Skye trip with Highland Explorer Tours, and it was incredible! The scenery was stunning, but what really made it special was our guide, Louise. She was super friendly, made everyone feel comfortable, and stopped often so we could enjoy the views and take photos. She really went out of her way to make the trip fun and relaxed. Cudnt have asked for a better guide. thanks, Louise!

Our 3-day Highlands Adventure from Edinburgh with Highland Explorer Tours was truly unforgettable! From start to finish, the trip was filled with breathtaking scenery, fascinating stories, and authentic Scottish charm. The small group size made the experience feel personal and friendly, and we quickly bonded with our fellow travelers. Highlights included the dramatic beauty of Glencoe, the peaceful charm of Loch Ness, cute Highland coos, Old Man Storr, Kilt Rock, and the magical landscapes of the Isle of Skye. Each stop offered time to explore, take photos, and soak in the views. The pacing was just right — active, but still relaxed enough to enjoy every moment. Torva was a great guide!! He kept us entertained with stories and tales from the areas we visited. He drove safely answered any questions we had and was always patient. Highly recommend him!!! The accommodations were clean and comfortable, with hearty breakfasts that started each day on the right note. Traveling through the Highlands with Highland Explorer felt like seeing Scotland through the eyes of a local. The only downside was if you don’t take the Jacobite Steam Train ride - we ended up going back and form on the same route with not much to see while we waited for the train to come in. 🥲. It “waisted” a few hours of sight seeing time. I’d recommend taking a 3 day tour that didn’t offer the train option if you want more sight seeing time. If you’re considering exploring beyond Edinburgh, this tour is an absolute must. You’ll experience the heart of Scotland and beautiful Skye — its people, history, and landscapes — in just three days. Highly recommended!

Lord Torva Farqaad was our guide, and my experience was just the best. His stories intermixed with music was so entertaining that it kept the whole trip alive. He was basically reading our minds on stops and he was so accommodating for everyone. His recommendation was spot on as well, there is nothing I felt that I missed on this highland tour. He’s also an amazing driver, the maneuvers he made in this giant beast was jaw dropping. I’m from California and I can’t go two seconds without cursing, I don’t know how he stayed so polite. Give this man a raise! Cheers!
