What To Expect
Discover amazing Stockholm Archipelago of Sweden by kayak. Consisting of just about 30,000 islands archipelago is the perfect destination for a short getaway as well as kayaking holiday adventure into the Scandinavian wilderness. You choose the date of trip, we provide all you need to create your own unforgettable adventure. When you arrive, you will be provided with fully equipped sea kayak and camping equipment. We usually use double kayaks (depending on your experience and preferences, single kayaks possible as well). Our sea expedition kayaks are stable and spacious enough to fit in camping equipment. We will then make a safety briefing and discuss the plan for the best route for your journey. The adventure is now all yours! We can meet any time during the day when kayak center is open: week days 10 - 18, weekends 10 - 17 (please let us know about time while booking). Our package includes quality equipment: - fully equipped expedition sea kayak (single or double) together with life jacket, paddle, spray skirt, map and compass - tent with sleeping bag, mattress and fresh silk sheet - set of waterproof bags for clothes - Trangia outdoor cooking system with gas - cutlery, mug and plate - water container - shovel and toilet paper

Long three day solo kayaking trip

5.00Trip summary: to Norrgårdsön and back, 1 person, 3 days, 2 nights in tent, 70km, 12h kayaking The service and material provided by the Kanotcenter was great! They give you all you need and need to know, you can rent a map including a proper case, and they tell you about where to go and what (not) to do. It was easy to extent by one more day as weather was nicer than predicted. Book online as that's easiest for them, no cash accepted. I had a really nice three day trip around the Stockholm archipelago. I went as far east as I could to get a bit to the more remote parts of the archipelago. However, particularly on Sun, there were a lot of boats on the water, all motorised which was good in one way because I was not alone at all, and rather annoying in another because of all that noise. Nature, however, is beautiful and I'd do it again if I could. I stayed the two nights in my tent and went to the sauna on Grinda. This can be booked via the hotel, 500SEK/hour, independent of group size. Stay away from the large cruise chips and the big and fast ferries - which is not a problem if you pay a little attention to the routes on the map and before crossing wide waterways. Please be aware that it's always better to be with at least one more person in case of emergency. However, if you couldn't interest anyone in the trip, the inner archipelago is quite suited for solo kayaking if you're experienced and attentive to weather, waves and ships.

5.00our kayak tour in the archipelago was brilliant! we booked the wild package for 2 nights and 3 days and did the Grinda/Gallnö tour. The friendly staff at the Kanucenter gave us good advice and handed us out the good quality equipment. we would book with them again. :)

5.00We did 3 days wild camping and kayaking the Stockholm archipelago - an amazing adventure. Everything we needed was provided, although a compass would have been helpful for navigation. We were driven to Boda so we were straight out into the archipelago, avoiding the busy Stockholm shipping traffic. Water taxi back from the islands was also an excellent decision for the same reason. The kayak centre were very helpful and rapidly responsive to emails when booking - highly recommended
