Mara River
After an early breakfast, head out for a full day of game drives taking us in search of Africa's Big Five and the plethora of other wildlife inhabiting this vast Kenyan game reserve. The Mara offers fantastic orange tinged sunsets well-worth capturing on camera. Wherever you go in the vast Masai Mara you will see a frequent amount of wildlife such as Masai giraffe, baboons, warthogs, bat eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, hartebeests, wildebeest, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos are also found in great numbers. It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal, or surveying the plains for their next meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot, but reasonably common. The ultimate action here is without doubt the annual wildebeest exodus, the Great Migration, in July through October when millions of these grass eaters move north from the Serengeti in search of greener grass. A stop by Mara River will be made to enable you get to see hippos and crocodiles. During Wildebeest Migration, you will spend most of the time watching the wildebeests and zebras cross the Mara River where crocodiles lay in wait to make a kill. Our safari in Kenya was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. From the moment we arrived, the landscapes were breathtaking - rolling savannas dotted with acacia trees, dramatic sunsets, and wildlife everywhere we turned. Our guides were incredibly knowledgeable, spotting animals we would have completely missed and sharing fascinating insights about the ecosystems and conservation efforts. Seeing lions lounging in the morning sun, elephants traveling in family groups, and giraffes grazing calmly felt almost unreal. Beyond the wildlife, the entire journey was wonderfully organized and comfortable. The lodges blended luxury with a genuine connection to nature, and every meal felt thoughtfully prepared. We also appreciated the warmth and hospitality of everyone we met; their passion for Kenya and its wildlife made the experience even more meaningful. By the end of the trip, we felt not just like travelers, but like participants in something special. We’re already dreaming about returning.

Everything about this safari was 10/10 — from the timing, ride, and accommodations to the food, guide, and wildlife sightings. It was an absolute joy and easily the most amazing excursion of my African journey. The trip offered incredible value, with so much included in the price, and every detail was handled flawlessly. I can’t recommend this experience enough—it’s truly worth every dollar!

I had a truly unforgettable safari in Kenya! We saw almost every animal imaginable, including a baby elephant less than a week old, and the highlight of the trip was witnessing a lion hunting a buffalo — absolutely breathtaking. Our guide, John Kabiro, was exceptional. Friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, he made sure we had the best possible experience. His fascinating insights about the animals and the ecosystem made the safari even more special. I highly recommend this safari to anyone seeking a truly memorable and once-in-a-lifetime Kenya safari adventure!

We just returned from an amazing six-day family safari in Kenya with African Sermon Safaris, and the entire experience exceeded our expectations. Everything was seamless, well-organized, and thoughtfully planned from start to finish. Our tour consultant, Daniel, was outstanding—responsive, attentive, and incredibly helpful in customizing the itinerary to suit our family’s needs. Traveling with kids can be challenging, but he made the entire planning process smooth and reassuring. Our guides, Albert and Ben, were truly remarkable. Their deep knowledge of Kenya’s wildlife and landscapes—especially throughout the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha-made every game drive exciting and engaging. Their warm, patient approach ensured our kids felt safe, comfortable, and well looked after at all times. Thanks to the African Sermon Safaris team, we created lasting memories and experienced Kenya in the most magical way. We felt supported every step of the journey and highly recommend this company to any family seeking a safe, enriching, and professionally run Kenya safari.

This was our first safari in Africa, so we had nothing to compare it to — but for us, it was an excellent experience! We visited three national parks as outlined in our tour program: Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. In Masai Mara, we also visited the Mara River and saw hippos and crocodiles in the water. African Sermon Safaris arranged accommodation in three different styles — a tented camp, a European-style hotel, and an African lodge — which made the journey even more interesting. We also took a short trip on Lake Naivasha for an additional fee, which was absolutely worth it. We saw so many animals: lions, zebras, antelopes, buffalos, rhinos, and many more. We were thrilled to see the entire African Big Five! One of our favorite moments was watching the amazing hippos eating grass right before our eyes. Overall, it was an excellent safari experience!

Our 3-day Kenya safari through the stunning Masai Mara National Reserve was a truly unforgettable experience, perfectly organized by African Sermon Safaris, a professional local safari operator in Kenya. Every game drive brought new surprises — from majestic lions and herds of zebras to elegant giraffes wandering across the endless golden plains. The Masai Mara was wild, breathtaking, and full of life. We deeply enjoyed exploring its rich wildlife and pristine landscapes. One of the most memorable moments was visiting a traditional Maasai village, where we had the opportunity to witness their unique culture, customs, and warm hospitality. This journey filled our hearts with wonder and left us with cherished memories. We highly recommend African Sermon Safaris for anyone seeking a well-planned and expertly guided Masai Mara safari tour in Kenya

Quick and informative response. Friendly conversation and openness to nonstandard requests. Professional and helpful staff. All the best experience. We had a 3 day safari and a 5 day mount Kenya trekking, both totally awesome.

Amazing experience. We got to see pretty much all the animals apart from rhinos. Their habitat is mainly around the lake Nagu which would have been included in the 4 day safari trip. Looking back we should have done the four day one but all in all was great. The jeep was safe, spacious and comfortable. We got to take our luggage with us as opposed to leave it in a safe locker in Nairobi. We were lucky to have a likeminded group of people on tour with us which made our experience more enjoyable and fun. We made friends and remained in contact. I think this is suitable for solo travellers as well. Our driver Ali was very friendly and knowledgeable. He knew all the spots where the animals were and also accommodated all our needs. He was the most popular guy in there, chatting to everyone everywhere we went. The lodges we stayed were well nice. We stayed at Jambo Mara safari lodges. Highly recommend them. There are a bit pricier compared to the rest but trust you need it. We had a very beautiful lodge with real walls, balcony, security at the door, bar, swimming pool, game room and all the facilities you could think of. Other people on tour were saying they didn’t have hot water or electricity in those tents/ glamping kind of lodges so I would recommend paying a lil extra for comfort. Especially after a long dusty drive during the day you need to be able to wash and relax. The tour was very well organised and the communication was great. Daniel was replying to all my emails very promptly and was able to advise with any queries I had which was very reassuring. Overall I had an amazing experience and I highly recommend this tour. Perhaps go for the 4 day one because the 3 day one is basically one and a half day in the safari given the fact that the drive between places is long. Definitely a five star rating from me.
