At approximately 7:30 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi, marking the beginning of an unforgettable journey to the world-renowned Masai Mara National Reserve. The trip takes 4 to 5 hours by road or just 1 hour by flight, offering scenic views along the way. Upon arrival, you will check in at Sarova Mara Game Camp - Safari Lodge, where a delicious lunch awaits as you unwind and take in the breathtaking surroundings. In the afternoon, embark on an exhilarating game drive, exploring the vast landscapes teeming with wildlife. As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge to enjoy a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay.

After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast, you’ll depart from the lodge with a packed picnic lunch for an exciting full-day game drive lasting at least eight hours. As you journey through the breathtaking landscapes of the Masai Mara, you’ll witness an incredible variety of plains game and their elusive predators in their natural habitat. Keep your eyes peeled for majestic buffalos, rare black rhinos, massive hippopotami, stealthy leopards, swift cheetahs, and powerful lions. You’ll also encounter herds of zebras, Coke’s hartebeests, white-bearded wildebeests, oribis, warthogs, and both Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles. As the sun begins to set, marking the end of an awe-inspiring day in the wild, you’ll return to the lodge for a sumptuous dinner and a restful overnight stay.

A visit to a traditional Maasai village offers an immersive cultural experience, giving travelers a rare opportunity to connect with one of Africa’s most iconic tribes. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed with energetic Maasai dances and songs, a vibrant display of their rich traditions. As you explore the village, you’ll get an insider’s look at their unique way of life, including their ingenious cattle-based economy, traditional Manyatta (mud and stick) huts, and time-honored customs. Engage in a fascinating storytelling session with the elders, learning about Maasai history, warrior traditions, and survival techniques in the wild. Watch or even participate in the adrenaline-pumping jumping competition (Adumu), a signature Maasai dance. You’ll also witness how they create fire using only sticks and dry grass, a skill passed down through generations.

Then, you’ll begin your journey back to Nairobi, enjoying a scenic drive through the breathtaking landscapes of the Mara.
