The Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus
Epidaurus, another Unesco World Heritage Site, is home to an ancient, beautifully preserved theater. The oldest theater with amazing acoustics.
Archaeological Site Mycenae
Mycenae is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home of King Agamemnon and the Mycenean civilization with some of Greece’s most famous ancient ruins. Wander around the archaeological site and accompanying museum.
Palamidi Castle
The Venetian castle has an awesome walk of 999 steps down to the Old Town. Enjoy the water views next to the peninsula and take some great photos.
Corinth Canal
The Corinth Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island.
Nafplio
Nafplio's port, Palamidi castle with the 999 steps, and the old Venetian town are the main attractions of one of the most beautiful towns in Greece.
Ancient Corinth (Archaia Korinthos)
OPTIONAL: Ancient Corinth was inhabited in the Neolithic period (6500-3250 BC) but the big prosperity began in the 8th century. Corinth was a city-state and for Christians, Corinth is well known from the two letters of Saint Paul in the New Testament, First and Second Corinthians. Corinth is also mentioned in the Acts of the Apostles as part of the Paul the Apostle's missionary travels.
Same as day1: Ermioni town opposite Hydra island.

The house was built in 1750 and it is a great example of upper class island life of the 18th and 19th century when Hydra was the home to the shipping families. Inside the Manor of Lazaros Kountouriotis are displayed family heirlooms, personal belongings, paintings and exhibits from the folkoric and historical collections, which belong to the National Museum of History.

We spent three wonderful days seeing the sights with Nikos. This was actually our second trip with Nikos. He showed up Athens and Corinth two years ago and we had some much fun, we came back. I would highly recommend the tour of the Peloponnese. Mycenae was incredible and not something that everyone gets to see like the Acropolis. Hydra was stunningly beautiful and a fun trip, but we fell in love with Nafplio. From wondering the quaint streets of old town, to sampling Ouzo, to having a great dinner at an outdoor cafe, it was very memorable. Having Nikos for a guide is more like traveling with a very knowledgeable friend. He's very accommodating and does his best to tailor things the way you want. This was a trip that we'll remember forever.

This was the first time I came to Greece as a tourist and not a Greek to visit with family. The entire tour was incredibly detailed with information, locations, and focused attention to detail. Nikos was wonderful and very attentive to our families questions and experience. Nafplio was beautiful and full of fun and beautiful sites. The food was amazing and a great taste of true local cuisine. Great hotel accommodations. Highly recommend this to first time Greece visitors as well as native and local Greeks to learn about the less know jewels of beautiful Greece! We will definitely use them again for their other tours of Greece.

I have taken my family to several countries around the world to immerse ourselves in the culture and history of other areas. We have taken larger group tours, private tours, and also explored on our own by driving through other countries. This three day private tour with Nikos was one of our best experiences of all of the trips weve taken. For the price, this was a great value. Nikos was a very knowledgeable guide that had information prepared to teach us about the historical sites that we were going to visit. The tours were a perfect balance of him educating us and offering direction as well as taking a step back to allow us to have some time alone as a family to explore the actual sites themselves. With this private tour, we were able to see multiple areas of Greece that we would not have been able to see on our own. Nikos also did a great job of researching smaller villages and restaurants around the areas ahead of time so he knew which ones served delicious, authentic food and which ones may have been more commercialized to avoid. I felt that this really added to the experience of meeting more of the local folks in the area and enjoying the food and drink that they are accustomed to. In regards to accommodations, we had a great view within the apartment we stayed at and were very close to the village center to enjoy the restaurants and take ferries over to nearby islands. Nikos and his wife were very hospitable and were a pleasure to spend time with. I feel that my kids were able to learn a lot from this trip. Not just about the history of these areas in Greece, but about the culture and way of life. This was a wonderful experience and Id recommend using Nikos for any tour you take in Greece. In fact, we actually had him take us around Athens as well for two additional days because we were so impressed by him! Thanks so much for the wonderful time Nikos and we hope to get back and visit you and your wife soon!

Not wanting to rent a car we decided to book this tour so we could explore the Peloponnese region without any stress. We also decided to add one more day to the tour so we could take our time and not feel rushed. Our guide, Nikos, was very professional and helpful. His wife Yota, who manages the apartments where we stayed, made us feel right at home. The 3 of us really enjoyed this part of our trip to Greece and highly recommend this tour.

Wonderful trip to some of Greece's less touristy places. Epidaurus is a extremely beautiful coastal city with many old buildings. The island of Hydra was almost too beautiful for words. Using donkeys to go up the steep inclines was an energy saver. Nikos, our guide loves to share his vast knowledge of Greece. He was very considerate and even shared his family with us.

We chose this tours to see a different aspect of Greece, the Pelopponese. We travelled in early March, which is considered to be out of season, but we Chris and Veronica
had a very enjoyable time and were well looked after by our hosts, Nikos and Yota. The first day is perhaps a little too busy, we absolutely loved visiting Mycenae, nice early arrival before the big buses pulled in. we were able to wander the ruins and spend time in the wonderful museum on our own. Such a delight. We enjoyed our visit to Napflio, the views were stunning. We did climb down the 999 stairs from the Fort, but would advise anyone who suffers from vertigo to rethink that option. Lunch in a small local taverna was delicious, but the driving and the beautiful sunshine made us very tired before we reached Epidaurus, so we didn't really get a lot from that visit. For us that would have been better to visit on the way back to Athens.
Our hosts home base at Ermioni was beautiful, we loved this town and the walks around it, through its small forest on the peninsular and the promenades. The apartment was very comfortable, and the self serve breakfast was adequate. Yota made some beautiful biscuits and supplied fresh crusty bread and cakes.
We spent the afternoon of the second day on Hydra, which was mainly closed down, just a few coffee shops and a few souvenir shops open. We spent our time looking through the museum and walking long distances around the coastal paths.
The next day we visited Spetses by ferry, what a difference, we loved Spetses. Lots of activity and beautiful clear water.
Definely a holiday destination , especially for young families.
The following day we returned to Athens, a pleasant scenic drive with Nikos making sure we saw as much of the coastline as possible. This was very much appreciated and we had the extra bonus of seeing a large ship pass through the Corinth Canal, as the road disappeared into the depths.
A lovely few days on the Pelopponese and would suggest a worthwhile inclusion to any itinerary.
