Travel along the Avenue of Volcanoes, Stop to visit one of the most amazing volcanoes in Andes, Cotopaxi (5897 meters) Ride through indigenous craft villages on a mule, and hike downhill to the Quilotoa Lagoon. Plus, you’ll visit the Agoyan Pailón del Diablo, Manto de la Novia waterfalls and Casa del Árbol in Baños. Cotopaxi is Ecuador’s second tallest active volcano and a favorite among mountain climbers, locals and visitors. Because Cotopaxi is a stratovolcano, the first thing about it that catches everyone’s attention is its imperfectly-perfect conical shape, which is a result of its periodic explosions that have built up layers (or strata) of hardened lava, pumice and ash overtime.

Cascada El Pailon
The Paílón del Diablo is a fairly large waterfall (located on the Pastaza River) just 30 minutes away from the town of Baños in Ecuador. It is considered to be one of the most popular attractions in the area. The name of the waterfall in Spanish (Paílón del Diablo) means in English “Cauldron of the Devil”. it is free to view it from the suspension bridge, you can pay about 0.50$ and walk the path that get closer to this amazing waterfall.
La Casa del Arbol
One of the coolest places in Baños, Ecuador is the Casa del Arbol. This tree house is built on the edge of one of the mountains next to the Tungurahua Volcano. On a clear day you can see it clearly. The volcano has been active since 1999 and climbing has been prohibited since that time, so this is about as close as you can get to it.

5.00My family and I are originally from Ecuador but had never discovered fully discovered what other cities had to offer. We decided to do a tour and couldn't of been happier with choosing Latin Adventures! We fell in love with Ecuador even more. Diego was an amazing tour guide, very knowledgable and excellent customer service. He would explain things in English and Spanish! There were 11 of us and we did all sorts of activities including Zip lining (incredible experience) and Canyoning. We visited Cotopaxi Volcano, Chimborazo Volcano, Devil’s Nose train, Quilotoa Lagoon, Casa del Árbol (Baños). It was such a lovely trip to experience with the whole family, I would definitely do this again! I highly recommend using this company and guide.
