We were thrilled with the tour.our guides were so knowledgeable and passionate at each stage of the adventure. Mexico's diverse terrain from sea level up and up and up across the Sierra Madres. We felt safe, were encouraged to fully experience diverse geography, communities, cities large and small, and taste various cuisines. The climb by car, horses, and our own feet, higher than Machu Pichu, will remembered forever, along with wondrous views of the glorious Monarchs. We may well book again next year! Thank you Jennifer and Adrian!

This tour is Magical from the start to the end. Yes, the Monarch Butterflies are the main reason to take this journey but there is Magic everywhere in Mexico. My wife and I chose this tour because it offered more than just visiting the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. The Pueblos Magicos cities we visited have so much to experience. They are filled with History, Culture, Architecture and people. Jenifer and Ran enriched our journey sharing their love of the places we visited. Our group was great. The Mercedes Benz Sprinter Van was comfortable. The hotel in Morelia was located in the Historical Center. It is clean and in a safe area. The days are long. The drives are long. The horseback ride was more uncomfortable for me than I had expected. The hike at 10,000 feet was strenuous for me. Ran and Jenifer were watching over me. Ran found a walking stick which helped a lot. I road the horse back rather than hike down. It was far easier than the ride up. All in all, my wife and I had a magical experience.

I highly recommend booking this 3 day Magic of Mexico and Monarch Butterfly Tour with Kaleidoscope Tours. Jennifer does an excellent job of providing a multi fauceted, hands on experience, rich in culture, local arts, and regional culinary specialties. Captain Ran is a delight and made our city walking tours so much more interesting with his obvious knowledge and love of the culture and rich history of Michoacan and Mexico. Our visit to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary was wonderous as the weather cooperated and the butterflies were active. Both Jennifer and Ran were very accommodating to everyone's physical abilities and so knowlegable about the region. We were fortunate to have a great group of people on the tour with us as well. This was an unforgetable experience for me. The tour does include a lot of walking at high altitude and many areas have traditional cobblestone surfaces. Wear good walking shoes and dress in layers with comfortable clothes!

This tour was much more than the monarchs! We saw and experienced so much more. Cap’n Ran is a history guy so history, culture, food. An all inclusive three days to not worry about a thing! Jennifer made sure of that.

Our experience with Kaleidoscope Tours was nothing short of extraordinary. Jennifer is an outstanding tour guide—highly professional, remarkably knowledgeable, and truly passionate about creating meaningful travel experiences. Her warmth and attention to detail made every moment feel special. Adrian was an excellent driver who made us feel completely safe and comfortable while skillfully navigating scenic routes and uncovering hidden gems along the way. We had a small group and they ensured all needs were met with grace and understanding. Every day brought new wonders, from captivating towns and quiet countryside roads to breathtaking, ever-changing landscapes. One of the most unforgettable moments of the trip was witnessing what felt like billions of monarch butterflies surrounding us, their wings shimmering like sparkling jewels. It was awe-inspiring and truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Jennifer’s thoughtfully curated tours offer an authentic view of each destination while perfectly balancing education, exploration, and relaxation. The all-inclusive format allowed us to fully enjoy exceptional meals and experiences without a single worry. If you’re looking for a seamless, enriching, and unforgettable journey, Kaleidoscope Tours is the perfect choice. Highly recommended! Elaine May

We had such an awesome experience on our tour. Jennifer and Adrian are fun, patient, knowledgeable, and flexible. They have created a thoughtful iterinerary that provides an opportunity to see unique places in a busy 3 days. Communication prior to and throughout the trip was excellent. I like to try to see and do as much as I can when I commit to a tour, and this opportunity to visit Pueblos Magicos and the butterflies was perfect. Even when there were some minor glitches like an unexpected flat tire, Jennifer and Adrian took care to make sure that our experience was a positive one. I wouldn't hesitate to use Kaleidoscope Tours in the future for another adventure.

This was a great experience. Jennifer (the brains behind the operation) and Ran (the driver and guide) were a great team with a whole lot of knowledge and more importantly there was a touch of personality, humor and friendship throughout the whole tour. It felt more like a fun road trip than a clinical moneymaking tour-machine. Jennifer seems to go to great length to make sure you are comfortable and happy, and Ran is a lovely, funny and helpful individual. The first town we visited (Patzcuaro) were amazing and beautiful. The butterfly sanctuary was an amazing and awe-inspiring place. The hotel we stayed at were nice. If I had to mention something that I would change it would be: - I would really welcome some more time on your own in Patzcuaro - The town of perpetual Christmas was not super interesting

My wife and I enjoyed our 3 day tour emmensely and we highly recommend Jennifer and Adrian who have a terrific amount of knowledge, energy, and rye sense of humor. From the tours along the way to the high altitude of the Monarch overwintering site it is a wonderful experience. Both of the guides were caring with a great humor to situations as I had ankel issues on the way down (next time I will take the horse down) and Jennifer was very helpful and patient with me as we went down the last 200 M very slowly. Also they were helpful with my wife when she has stomach issues for part of the trip and made frequent stops at Oxxo gas stations for relief. The tour of the cities along the way were impressive and we learned a lot about the Mexican culture and architecture, one of my favorities was a trip to the second largest library in Mexico built in the 1400s. Certainly the murals were also a highlight too. The butterflies were awe inspiring despite the cold and overcast day. Please recognize nature dictates the experience and the clusters need to be warm before they will fly in swarms. However we did observe some of the swarming in a select area where the sun broke through. Sorry video was to big to upload, but inspiring Jennifer and Adrian picked out some excellent restaurants that were the culunary highlight of the trip, especially the first night. We highly recommend a private tour, while a bit more expensive you will get a personal touch as the guides will learn about your interests to modify/tweak the tour. Cost was reasonable with tip (20%) was 2500 CAD for both us including breakfast, lunch hotels, travel, entry nto exhibits, etc. The other benefit is getting to know Jennifer and her husband on a more personal level.
