We were in Rwanda (Kigali) for work and wanted to do a gorilla tracking safari but just not in our budget to do in Rwanda. So after some research decided to book a trip to Bwindi National Park with a pick up at our Kigali hotel. I emailed a few highly rated on Tripadvisor companies and Michelle from Eco Adventure Safaris were to first to respond and also had the best price. Just returned from our trip and it was simply AMAZING! The border crossing into Uganda took 15 minutes both sides and to be honest we really enjoyed the drive seeing the country side. Their Landcruiser was super comfortable and even had an inverter for charging our mobile phones and cameras. Our guide Godfrey was fantastic, friendly and professional and very important to me drove responsibly at all times. Before travelling I emailed Michelle with a frw queations and she always replied within a few minutes, excellent customer service. Although we took the budget accommodation option the hotels were awesome and were not budget at all. Highly recommend this company!

I found Eco Adventures on line and they were fabulous. So helpful with organizing the trip. Charles, our driver, was excellent. He helped us find raincoats (that we forgot), spotted a Shoebill Stork that we could see, and shared so much history about the country. He made the trip so much better. I'd love to have him drive us on another trip through Uganda.

We had such a wonderful time in Uganda. Our tour with Eco Adventure Safaris was more than we could have hoped for. The accommodation, the attention to detail and the care we received was second to none. A massive shout out to our driver and guide, Charles. We were so well taken care of. He made sure everything ran like clockwork and we really appreciated his hard work behind the scene ensuring everything ran smoothly . He is very experienced and knowledgable and seemed to know everyone! Other tourists had to produce their passports and sign up to this that and the other. Charles had it all sorted for us 😊 He was a safe and reliable driver and a knowledgeable guide. We can’t recommend him highly enough.

We had an incredible 3 day gorilla trekking and Batwa experience with Eco Adventure Safaris. Everything was so well arranged, from being picked up in Rwanda to the comfortable car rides in between. The lodge we stayed in was beautiful and such a nice place to relax. The gorilla trekking itself was unforgettable, being that close to them in the wild is something we’ll never forget. Visiting the Batwa community was also really meaningful and gave us a deeper appreciation of the culture and history of the area. Our guide Godfrey was fantastic! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and always making sure we were comfortable and enjoying ourselves. We honestly felt so well looked after the whole trip. Can’t recommend this experience enough !

We did a 3 day Gorilla trekking tour in Bwindi national park in Ugana with Eco Adventures Safaris. All the arrangements with Eco Adventures were very professional, quick in response and very friendly. They offer trips in different price ranges, which was great for us. The two nights we stayed in a nice lodge near to the park with wonderful staff (Rushaga Havens Lodge). The trekking itself took place with a nice guide and friendly guards. The found the gorillas super fast. Our driver guide for the three days named Apolo was super friendly, helpful and had alot of great storys to tell. We learned alot about the country of Uganda and the local community. The overall experience was very much to our pleasing. Absolutely recommendable!

We had the absolute best time. Michelle was so helpful with organizing and booking our tour. Our tour guide, Apollo, made our trip so super special and he was the best part of our trip. He helped us find gear that we had forgotten, made sure we were happy in our lodge, he helped us book extra activities and he was very knowledgeable about Uganda. He was entertaining and supportive. We had a change in plans last minute and the company and Apollo were very accommodating and they helped out a lot. This was the perfect trip and I would 10/10 recommend.

Eco Adventure Safaris was great about booking gorilla, chimp & golden monkey trekking with short (1 month) notice. I do feel for the price we should have been provided more info for each day. Our tour involved pick up in Kigali driving all day to Kibale. Our driver Charles was capable and courteous but drove very fast and it felt like an imposition to ask him to stop for us to take photos. There also seemed to be lack of communication either from HQ or within the field. Our third night after spending several hours getting to the hotel (including a wrong turn that took us an hour out of way) we checked in, unpacked in preparation for the early morning only to be told by Charles as we were going to dinner that we had come to the wrong hotel and had to leave immediately. We rushed to get packed, changed hotels and ended up not eating dinner until late. It was very strange. Another day we were told to meet Charles at 6:30 but when we got to the gorilla habituation an hour later, the ranger was very angry at us for being late - that we were supposed to begin the trek at 6:30. Did Charles know this? Also - I let the tour operator know up front that I could not eat gluten but this was very hard to accommodate. None of the lodges or restaurants had any prior notice of my allergy and some had very limited options. Lastly - on our departure day Charles said we needed to leave at 6:30 am. Eco Adventure had our flight info and could have suggested a later departure time. We ended up at Entebbe airport 8 hours before our flight and could not pass security or check in for our flight until 2 hours before our 1:35 am flight. Made for a really long day and night prior to 48 hours of travel home. We had no idea that the entebbe airport was so strict about entry and there were no restaurants or lounges in the unsecured part of the airport. It was the trip of a lifetime but I don’t think I would pick this operator again.

Ronnie King and Patrick Kataama were our tour guides. Both went out of their way to be wonderful hosts. Accommodations were clean, laundry service was available at a few places. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were provided daily. There was always guidance and answers to any questions we had. We always felt safe and their recommendations were spot on. Seeing the Golden Monkeys, Chimpanzees and Gorillas in their natural habitat was experience like no other! I look forward to the next time I’m on another adventure in Uganda to use Eco Adventure Safaris! Christine Klespies and Chloe Davis
