Abu Simbel Temple
Carved into rock south of Aswan by Ramses II, Abu Simbel features four colossal seated statues at its façade. The temple’s inner halls are richly decorated with reliefs celebrating royal victories and gods.
Kom Ombo Temple
A unique double temple dedicated to Sobek and Horus the Elder on the Nile bank. Symmetrically divided, it houses surgical and astronomical reliefs and scenes of offerings, with an ancient crocodile museum nearby.
