It was a looong drive from Kampala to Queen Elizabeth national park, but lot to see on the way. We saw the lion after just 30 minutes in the park. The boat safari was also great as you came really close to the animals. Saw a lot of hippos up close, and also crocodile and elephant. There was a missmatch in the program, the primate walk in this program is not included and is at an other place. We loven the combination of the "normal safari " and the boat safari in the same day.

The first animal we saw was a sleeping lion. (On the ground, it was a tree lion, but we saw it on the ground) We waited for a bit and we were right next to it when it woke up. It took its time and jawned and "posed for us" and slowly walked away. It was really cool. Talked to an other couple that did this safari the day before and they didn't se the lion so we were so lucky. The boat trip safari later on the day was so nice as you came really close to the animals. We saw 2 big crocodiles and a big elephant came to drink, it was as it was posing for us. A lot of hippos up close. Unfortunately we did not get to se the leopard. Next time I hope 😁 The drive from Kampala was long, but there is a lot to see on the way. The driver/guide Edwin was excellent and he also stopped on the way back to Kampala and showed us coffee plants and tea plantation and I got to try my lucky as tea picker. On the way from Kampala there is a stop at Equator that is really cool for pictures.
