It was full of natural beauty and wonderful experiences. Really enjoyed the night in the desert as the sunset and stars were spectacular. Mohammed was an amazing driver and very knowledgeable with all our questions. I highly recommend this tour.

We took the 3 day desert tour with Mohammed and had a blast! It was a really good way to see all different types of terrains Morocco has in the shortest time possible. The drive is definitely really long (Fes -> Merzouga for the night in the deserts, then Merzouga -> Ouarzazate for the Atlas Mountains, then Ouarzazate -> Merrakesh for drop off with stops along the way), but Mohammed made the experience fly by. Not only is he an incredible driver that made us feel super safe even as we were climbing/descending the mountains, but he is also super knowledgeable about every question we have about Morocco. He told us stories about his life, and always brought us to the best places to experience the local artisan and products. With him, I really felt like I understood more about Moroccan culture and the people who live here. Everywhere we went was a really cool experience, from seeing the monkeys in the cedar forest, riding the camels in the desert and seeing the stars, to seeing the Atlas Mountain & the Kasbahs. Mohammed also brought us to really delicious lunches that were adorable and felt authentic. If you’re looking for a good trip from Fes to Merrakesh, I really cannot recommend Desert Smiles more!

Our experience was really fun and insightful thanks to our tour guide Mohammed. He was super kind, knowledgeable, and funny, really funny. Throughout the trip, Mohammed would make pit stops along the way to show us parts of Moroccan culture and beautiful views. It didn’t feel like he was trying to help various businesses along the way because he would emphasize that our stop is to help us learn about their culture and it was never necessary to make a purchase. If we had any questions, which we had a lot of, he would give us very insightful explanations. When we made a stop, he would tell us about the history and context of the location while being mindful to give us a good experience. He was very accommodating when we needed to stop for the bathroom or when we needed to withdraw cash from the ATM. One thing I need to mention was the car ride. I don’t know what it was but his car and his driving was so comfortable that it was so easy to fall asleep. I wish I didn’t cuz I missed a lot of the discussions that were happening in the car, but it was kind of crazy how comfortable this 3 day trip was. This tour was a highlight of our experience. We loved our time in Merzouga, going to the fossil store, walking along the canyon, driving along various sceneries, and so much more. Highly recommend this experience, especially if you have Mohammed as your tour guide, to experience Morocco outside of the touristy destinations. Thank you for the fun experience Mohammed!

It was an amazing journey thanks to my guide Moonir. He always cared about us. Even when he's taking a break! There are probably other cheaper tours, but this one has a comfortable car, a friendly guide (who advises you that the price is high), and a private bathroom in the desert camp, where warm water comes out. It also has powerful heating, so you don't need to be cold indoors. The hotel in the desert is old but comfortable (and it has plenty of warm water too). The lunch buffet on the first day was the only thing we liked, but the Berber restaurant on the second day was really good! This tour is highly recommended.
