This 3-day Uganda Gorilla safari, will take you for Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which covers an area of 321 sq km and is among the oldest forests lasting over 25,000 years. You will be able to trek one of the 12 habituated mountain gorilla groups.
Besides the Gorillas, you will also have an opportunity to see other primates such as the red-tailed monkeys, chimpanzees, baboons, and black and white colobus monkeys among others. This forest is also home to 120 mammals, 51 reptiles, 310 butterfly species, 27 species of frogs, geckos, chameleons, 163 tree species, 104 fern species, 1000 flowering plants, as well as over 350 species of birds such as the hornbills and the Turacos!
Gorilla trekking takes around 2 to 8 hours, which is worth it as those into hiking will have a great time climbing up and about the rolling hills, and going through the lush vegetation.

Igongo Cultural Centre
The Igongo Cultural Centre and Museum highlight the way of life of the tribes in southwestern Uganda, including the cattle herding tribe, Bahima, and how adaptable the region has been to new technologies and life. The tribe has collaborated with the University of Basel, Switzerland, on cheese making and milk pasteurization, which the museum has documented extensively as a success story of new technologies from Europe reaching Uganda. Enjoy a delicious lunch here before you proceed with the rest of the journey to Bwindi

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Early morning after breakfast, drive to the park headquarters for a briefing from the senior park ranger on the day’s gorilla trekking activity. Proceed for the memorable adventure in the impenetrable forest which may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. You will be allowed an hour in the presence of these gentle giants, use this time to relate with them, monitor every behavior and ask as many questions as possible. In the evening, you may go for a community tour to the Batwa village. The Batwa were the early inhabitants of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest before it was established as a national park. You will learn about their history, how they used to hunt for food, their traditional dances and folk songs. Fall asleep to the sounds of the Bwindi Forest reliving the incredible adventures of your day.

5.00I would like to start with the people working there. Joel the Cook is a perfectionist he would feel right at home at any 5 star restaurant in the world. Joseph is an incredible server big warm smile with attention to detail. Brought my Whiskey sour immediately after I sat down. Andrew my guide and driver gets my personal attention we spent many days together in the land cruiser he is a quiet professional always took care of my well-being. Andrew is a highly skilled off road driver we were in four wheel drive in the mud and we never got stuck. He could easily be a professional race car driver or off road race anywhere. 5.00Amazing experience, Staff perfectly organized, resort was wonderful, especially the rooms and food. Trek was challenging but not impossible. The staff worked seamlessly with Ugandan staff at Bwindi Park for a great experience. High quality at Western levels all the way through.
