Masai Mara National Reserve
We’ll be up early to view the park’s abundant wildlife, said to the densest of any park in the region. This will be a day of unlimited game drives over the golden fields and past the distinctive acacia trees adorning these plains. Be on the lookout for Africa’s Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino. The birdlife is also abundant, and should you be here during the season of the Great Migration (July – October), prepare yourself to witness the largest movement of animals on the planet. Primarily made up of wildebeest and zebra, the migrating animals cross into the park by the thousands at the Mara River, also the site of hippos and waiting crocodiles. The potential drama here is inescapable as the streaming herds enter these lands for fresh grasses as the predators lie in wait. Adding more richness to your Masai Mara experience, you can enjoy an optional visit to one of the local villages. There, you’ll meet the Maasai and see their lifestyle up close.

Our last safari day – let’s make the most of it with an early rise and game drive. By now you should be checking off your list of animal sightings but there’s always time for more. We’ll enjoy one last game drive as we exit the park on our way back to Nairobi. A stop for lunch will break up the drive back to town.

This was the best Safari experience we got. We got a good welcome from the office staff. The tour guide was amazing and well informed. He made sure we got to see most of the animals there are to see and a history about them. Thank you so much Flexivel Kenya Safaris.

My wife and I chose Masai Mara for our honeymoon safari, and the first three days at Mara Maisha Camp were pure bliss. The camp feels intimate and luxurious without being over-the-top – comfortable tents, great food, and that unbeatable view of the plains right from your veranda. We were incredibly lucky on game drives and ticked off all the Big Five in just three days! Spotting the rhinos was the highlight – they're so rare, and seeing them up close felt like winning the safari lottery. Lions lounging with full bellies, a leopard draped over a tree branch, massive elephant herds, and herds of buffalo rounding out the list – every drive delivered something unforgettable. Our guide David was hands-down the star of the trip. His sharp eyes spotted animals we would have missed, and his stories about the Mara and Maasai culture made every moment richer. He knew exactly where to position the vehicle for the best photos and always respected the animals' space. If you're planning a romantic getaway or just want an authentic safari, Mara Maisha Camp and a guide like David make it effortless. We left with hearts full and memories that'll last a lifetime. Highly recommend!

My family and I just got back from a fantastic three-day safari in the Masai Mara, and we had such a great time. We stayed at Mara Enkorok camp, right outside the Oloolaimutia Gate, which made it easy to get into the reserve quickly each morning. The best part was the full-day game drive on day two. We spotted several lions resting in the grass, watched big groups of hippos in the Mara River, and stopped for a picnic lunch out on the open plains with no one else around, it felt so peaceful and special. Everything was arranged perfectly by Jonathan, who put together the whole trip within our budget. I highly recommend reaching out to him if you're planning something similar. Asante sana for the wonderful memories!

We flew into the Mara just after sunrise, and the moment the plane door opened I knew this trip would ruin all other vacations for me. My boyfriend grabbed my hand as we bumped along in the jeep, laughing every time we almost slid off the seat. Within an hour we were surrounded by a tower of giraffes casually strolling past like they owned the place. That evening we watched the sky turn orange while a pride of lions finished their dinner ten meters away; he squeezed my fingers so hard I thought he’d break them, but neither of us could look away. Falling asleep to hyenas laughing outside the tent felt insane in the best way. I still close my eyes and smell dust and wild sage. Hands down the most alive I’ve ever felt with him. Thanks to our guide George he was awesome 👌

My boyfriend planned the whole Masai Mara trip as a surprise and honestly pulled off the most perfect five days of my life. The minute we left the airstrip we spotted a cheetah with three tiny cubs tumbling over her; he literally gasped and grabbed my arm like a kid. We tracked a male lion for an hour until he flopped down in the shade and stared straight at us, unbothered. Sunsets there are ridiculous; red, pink, gold, all melting into the plains while we sipped gin and tonics on the hood of the Land Cruiser. At night we lay in bed listening to zebras barking and something big walking past the tent. I kept thinking: this is it, this is the moment I’ll tell everyone about forever. Still grinning like an idiot a week later.
