Moldoveanu Peak in awful weather!

5.00We were looking for a short trip that took us to Moldoveanu - the highest peak in Romania. I saw that Extreme Travel offered exactly what we needed - a 3 day trek. From my first message to the owner, Radu Vatcu, through to completing the trek, we were regularly kept informed about what to expect. Just before our arrival date, we were put in touch with another Radu (Radu Ursu), who was our guide throughout. He is such a lovely person, and despite our group having differing trekking abilities, he patiently made sure that all of us were very well looked after, and got to the top of Moldoveanu - despite the weather being absolutely awful! He went over and above to make sure that all of us had a memorable experience, and his knowledge of the mountains and his contacts in the cabanas etc was invaluable. I would have no hesitation in recommending Extreme Travel, Radu Vatcu and Radu Ursu for anyone wishing to visit Romania, and I’m sure that Extreme Travel will provide the same level of service on the international trips that are offered. Hope to see you again one day 😀.
