Snagov Monastery
In this private tour you will discover the highly controversial story about the death of Vlad Tepes tells us that a group of monks were able to secretly bring the ruler’s earthly remains to Snagov Monastery and bury them in front of the altar to be sanctified.
Peles Castle
If have decided to write your memoirs or you want to brag about having seen the most beautiful castles in Europe, the Romanian royal family’s summer residence is, by far, one of the most important tourist attractions in Romania and in Europe, and you will soon understand why.
Manastirea Sinaia
Any trip to Romania and any vacation in Romania should include Sinaia Monastery, as one of the many Romanian tourist attractions with great spiritual and historical value. The monastery is located in the city with the same name, only 500 m away from Peles Castle and fairly close to Bucharest. The orthodox establishment is over 300 years old and it is dubbed as “the Cathedral of the Carpathians” due to its positioning in the most beautiful mountain resort in Romania surrounded by a stunning mountain scenery. It was also the first construction in this territory, founded by Prince (Spatarul) Mihai Cantacuzino. He decided to erect the house of worship following a pilgrimage to the Holy Land, with its name inspired by Mount Sinai.
Brasov Historical Center
Are you looking for a different urban experience through which you can explore history, culture, and rediscover the beauty of nature, all at the same time? The city of Brasov is the ideal destination for lovers of history, music and culture, adventure, good food, winter sports, hunting, hiking, and even romance. It is the quintessential mountain adventure. In Brasov we will have a small brake, perfect for exploring a little bit the Old Town and you have enough tine for lunch. 90 minute break in Brasov City!
Bran Castle (Dracula's Castle)
You are in Romania, Transylvania region so…we pay a visit to Dracula. Once you see it in person, you will understand why this castle is a symbol of Romanian tourism and why it is the most visited tourist attraction in Romania, so come and join us!
Centrul Istoric Sighisoara
We start the morning with a tour of Sighisoara Old Town and we’ll have the chance to visit Clock Tower, and Arms museum. If you want to go back in time and catch a glimpse of what life was like in the Middle Ages, you absolutely have to visit Sighisoara, Romania’s medieval town, and Count Dracula’s (actually, Vlad the Impaler) place of birth. Built in 1280, the Sighisoara Citadel is not just one of the most visited tourist attractions in Romania, it is a living, breathing medieval fortress, since it has remained inhabited for over 700 years – which is quite rare.
Big Square (Piata Mare)
A city tour to help you understand why Sibiu was elected as the European Capital of Culture, it includes the Evangelical Cathedral, the Sibiu Old City Center and the town itself, which are among the most visited tourist attractions in Romania, because they cater to every taste and provide a wonderful travelling experience for even the pickiest of tourists. If you love authentic cultural experiences, whether you are more romantic or more adventurous, here you will find everything you need to relax and enjoy yourself, leave the stress of your everyday life behind, and have a fun and memorable trip.
Calimanesti
If you catch a tour of the Romanian monasteries and you reach the Cozia Monastery you will understand why thousands of tourists are eager to see it. Guarded for over 600 years, on one side by the Olt river, on the other by mount Cozia, the fortified walls of this ancient monastery that have protected us from invaders in the past seem to preserve the Garden of Eden, a place of mystery and mythical beauty… From Calimanesti Spring you can treat you by liver problems only by drinking water from where Napoleon III use to drink.

Nicholas really knows the key historical sites! He was also very sensitive to the groups needs (restroom, food, drink, etc). He even had extra phone chargers for the long drive back from Transylvania! Very highly recommend!!!

We'd originally planned to travel by train or hire car but decided to invest in a private tour guide and we're so pleased we did. Daniel was our tour guide (Nicholas was already committed) and he was fabulous - such a nice guy with extensive knowledge and experience. We would strongly recommend using their services - it enhanced our holiday enormously.

When I contacted Nicolas, I provided a short list of things that I wanted to see and do. He made some suggestions and I decided to trust him and boy am i glad that i did. He suggested doing at least a two day tour outside of bucharest with an overnight stay in sighisoaria, he asked what i liked and i trusted him to book the accommodations and boy did he nail it. Such a great place... won't tell you where as you should also be surprised like us. :) We arrived very late in the evening at the airport and Nicolas was waiting for us. He was super friendly and thoughtful and helped us with our bags. We told him we were hungry and he suggested stopping at the mall to eat before went to our air bnb and we gladly accepted this generous offer. We were taking in the car about needing a Sim card and that was part of the plan for the next day...Nicolas actually went and bought them while we ate. He went above and beyond for us and were so appreciative. Nicolas was super accommodating with our three full tour days always asking us what time we wanted to start and was always in tune with our needs (coffee, food, toilet, etc). As a tour guide, he gets you ahead of everyone else, so there are no long lines and trust me, there were some very long lines and it was great to skip them. During our tours he was a wealth of information and provided us with the history of the country, the people, the city/town and the buildings. You can tell that he loves his country and I can understand why after spending time touring the country with him. He also has a great sense of humor and we find the conversation came very easily. I would highly recommend Nicolas to anyone and everyone that comes to Romania.

Our tour with Nicholas Experience Tours was absolutely amazing. We booked a drive throughout the Transylvanian countryside at the last minute, and Nicholas was kind enough to accommodate us. We were so fortunate to have Dan as our guide on this adventure. Dan is fantastic - deeply knowledgeable about the country's history, smart about planning itineraries that met all of our needs, and an excellent driver, especially on the challenging Transfagarasan Highway! We left Bucharest and headed to the Carpathian Mountains, where the weather went from early fall to winter blizzard in one day. We spent the first night in Sighisoara, and Dan arranged a private palinka tasting in a 500-year-old cellar with Teo, an award-winning distiller. From there, we stopped in Brasov, and went to Peles Castle. We had also wanted to do some tastings of the delicious Romanian wines, and so we extended our tour, and Dan arranged visits to two very different vineyards. Overall, it was an incredible experience, and we are very grateful to Dan for taking such good care of us!

Nicholas took me and my family 5 hours from Bucharest to Drobeta Turnu Severin. We had such an amazing experience- he explained Romanian history in detail and accommodated our every need which was a big request as we brought my 1 year old baby. We laughed, shared music and had great conversation. We were so pleasantly surprised by this experience we will be booking our trip back and any future trips through him.
