Samburu Game Reserve is situated in the hot and arid fringes of Kenya’s vast Northern Frontier District. The area is home to the Samburu tribe, pastoral relatives of the Masai. Samburu Reserve as a safari destination has rugged and dramatic landscape; the Owasso Nyiro River runs along the southern boundary dividing Samburu Game Reserve and is home to crocodile and hippo with the many animals visiting to drink during the heat of the day.

Pick up from your hotel or airport and depart to Samburu National Reserve located in the Northern Kenya arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, proceed for an afternoon game viewing in the reserve Samburu is famous for its truly wild semi-arid landscape, and the large concentration of wild animals and bird-life. Together with the adjoining Shaba and Buffalo Springs national reserves, Samburu is popular for hosting the rare Northern-Kenya animal species (Gerenuk, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s zebra, Beisa Oryx and Somali Ostrich) which are not found in the other popular parks and reserves in Kenya. It is also home to all the African big cats (lion, cheetah and leopard), alongside other big game including elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hippos, impala, water-buck and many others. Samburu is also a renowned bird watching haven, with hundreds of bird species resident here.

I did 2 nights safari in samburu and everything was excellent 👌 Good communication including emails and phone calls from Betty who helped me and my husband solve all our concerns and made sure we find the best accommodation for us. Very knowledgeable driver Peter who took us around and made big efforts to find the big five for us .I highly recommend this company to anyone who is not yet decided. I will use them agai.
