  Bassil was such a great guide who gave us a good background knowledge about Petra, its occupants, and its long history. He was able to point out so many carvings and features we otherwise would have missed. We left feeling like we had a good understanding of what Petra was and its importance for the region. We were shocked by how empty Petra was during our visit. Everyone was so friendly and grateful for the few tourists there during Feb 2025. If you want to see Petra without the crowds - now is the time! Bassil also helped us find a great local spot for dinner and recommended his favorite dishes which were all fabulous! I hope we can come back to Wadi Musa and meet again.

  One of the best tour guides I've ever had. Bassil made us feel comfortable with the route, dealt with the rain and helped us learn more about Jordan, the history and all that was in Petra. Would 100% recommend.

  This tour was amazing. Ibrahim picked us up from our hotel after suggesting an earlier start. He wanted to ensure we saw Petra at the perfect time. He was informative, funny, friendly, and knowledgeable. We also liked how he let us have some free time and then made suggestions for the rest of our day after he left us. We felt safe and very comfortable, and loved our time exploring Petra. Don't let the headlines dissuade you from traveling to Jordan. The land, the culture, the sites, the food, and the people are truly exceptional.

  Please book Bassil. We’ve done many guided tours but never have we had such a personal experience as one with Bassil. Such a great mix between educational/informative while also providing modern insight into the culture of the region and Jordan. He seemed very pleasant with all the Bedouin people along the way. He also gave great detail on what we could do after our tour ended, a reminder that Petra is not just the treasury! There are many hiking paths that you can take. Jordan is safe. Please go.

  What an amazing tour!! I had limited time to see Petra and Bassil made sure I saw the best of Petra. He included some of his own secret spots and took great pictures of me too. I would recommend Jordan, Petra and Bassil to anyone. Jordan is safe and has amazing history to see.
