Enjoy a 3-hour small-group trip and hike close to the Vienna city limits to the highest point of Parapluie mountain and the Josefswarte, a viewing tower. Includes round-trip transfer from the main train station.

Operates in all weather conditions, please dress appropriately! Only if the weather is dangerous for life and limb, we are entitled to choose a different (as equal) tour. If it is not possible to avoid the danger, we will cancel the tour free of charge

The use of mountain boots is strongly recommended

In winter time sometimes additional equipment (snow chains, snowshoes) is needed. We will inform you accordingly!

Due to uneven surfaces, this tour is not possible for those with walking disabilities or using a wheelchair

What To Expect

An easy hike beyond the city limits of Vienna through the forests of the Parapluie-mountain. The mountain is named after the Parabluie trees, also called umbrella pines. Afterwards, we will arrive at Josef-viewing-tower, which rewards us with a view of Vienna and large parts of the Vienna Woods.

We were so happy that we booked a private hike with Michael. It was a great experience and he even provided us with 'snow spikes'. We felt like we were having a walk with a friend, not a tour guide who just keeps on talking. Michael listens to your requests and provides help where needed. All in all, a fantastic experience!
