Some spectacular views. If you are a beer drinker you can try the chestnut beer which is exclusive to Nuns Valley.
Time permitting we stop for free Madeira Wine Tasting.
You can also try the local Poncha at Câmara de Lobos (fishing village). Our professional Guides will also take photos at all the different points and end of the tour they will be sent to you.

Our accredited guide will pick you at any Hotel in Funchal, Custormise a 3 hour private tour on many of our options which you can decide on the day what you would like to experience.
Valley of the Nuns
Our Guide will pick you up at any Hotel or Port in Funchal. He will explain all the different option you will have in our 3 hours Private Tour. We can ride for 45min to a Heights of 1089 meters above sea level, to the view point of Nuns Valley where speculation as it that its one of the craters of the Vulcano. Also know for its chestnuts. We also go into Nuns Valley where we experience these beautiful views from inside the crater. For beer drinkers if you want to stop and try a chestnut beer?

5.00John was the perfect guide, extremely knowledgeable and attentive to your needs. Our trip was tailored to suit us as we had already visited a few of the main attractions/villages. We spent our whole time in the Nun’s Valley seeing it from every angle - top to bottom. We also got to meet a gentleman who was still working his terraced land at the age of 85, incredible. En route we came across a huge boulder that had fallen this morning, blocking one side of the road, and by all accounts had fallen just after the local bus passed through. All in all this was a very memorable afternoon and we can’t recommend John and Adventure Trikes highly enough.

5.00After looking at what things were available in Madeira we decided to try something different. Well we can say we definitely made the right choice. Our driver (John) was polite, informative and kept us informed at all times. The experience of riding in a trike was exhilarating and throughly enjoyable and would highly recommend to everyone, regardless of age, even if your sceptical about going on a bike. The ride was very comfortable and all equipment was provided or offered.
Super fun on the Trike with Jon despite our mobility issues ❤️ and, never having even been on a motorbike before!

Even served us our coffee on the Trike. A lovely touch, thank you Jon. Helmets and jackets provided so we were warm and secure on the Trike. Wow, a very memorable and fun experience, can’t wait to go out again!

5.00We did the 3 hour trip to Nuns Valley with Garth as our guide and driver. It was an amazing experience throughout and a great way to travel. Garth immediately put us at ease from the start and was an excellent guide. We felt completely safe at all times and saw some amazing scenery. Be prepared to have your photos taken as the trike attracts a lot of attention!! We would certainly consider doing this again if / when we return to Madeira.

5.00What a great trip we had with Garth. An exciting drive up to Nun’s valley with great scenery. Marvellous views from the viewing point & then down into the valley. Then the trike played up in the rain - but no problem for the intrepid team at Adventure Trikes! John arrived to help out & off for a coffee & cake & for me chestnut beer & warming roast chestnuts. Extra waterproofs, excellent commentary, fresh air & scenery - all part of the adventure. Thanks fellas!

5.00For the 3rd time a beautiful trip made under the expert guidance of a guide known to us. This time a little more the highway because of the destination. But the result was there. Perhaps next year again but at least warmly recommended!

5.00This simply has to be the most exhilarating way to experience the sights of Madeira! We were a group of four people so we hired two trikes and had so much fun being driven by John and Goth up to the Nuns Valley. Both are exceptionally passionate about the island and all it has to offer. Very safe and courteous drivers. Would highly recommend one of their tours. I don't think there is a better way to see the island - we had a blast!
