We'll head south from the beach town of Tamarindo to explore some of the Guanacaste coast's finest beaches - Playa Pinilla, Playa Avellanas and Playa Negra. Take in the awe-inspiring beauty of the Tamarindo area as we meander through lush forests, traverse mountains, and conquer river crossings. Marvel at the pure natural beauty of Guanacaste as we head down off-road trails through beautiful tropical forest and breathtaking coastal vistas. Along the journey, keep your eyes peeled for Costa Rica’s diverse wildlife - from mischievous monkeys to sun-soaked iguanas and an array of tropical birds. This tour is ideal for both families and thrill-seekers alike, ensuring a safe and fun ride with all essential equipment provided.

We have more than just one ATV so if you are traveling with more people just go along and book it as many times as needed or contact us directly for help.

Drivers must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 16-years-old. Passengers must be over 10-years-old.

The time not spent at the beaches is allotted to travel/driving time.

What To Expect

Playa Avellana

We'll stop at 2 beaches that are close in proximity to each other. Both beaches fall under the larger umbrella of Playa Avellana but are 2 separate beaches. The first is Playa Pinilla - a small but beautiful white sand beach that's perfect for a swim and a bit of sunbathing. About as chill a place as you can imagine. Then we'll head a bit further south to Playa Avellanas, where the sand is smooth and the water is fine. It's a wonderful beach for surfing, bodyboarding, and even fishing. Take a leisurely stroll along the long stretch of white sand beach.

Playa Negra

We'll head a bit further south to a black sand beach - Playa Negra. The waves are great for surfing, snorkelling, bodyboarding, or a quick dip. The black sand is super fine, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Keep your eye out for little hermit crabs in the sand.

If you’re looking for a quality Atv tour while in Tamarindo, this is the place to do it! They have the largest most comfortable, ATV’s in town, which makes a smooth ride! And Jean Pierre, the owner and tour guide is amazing! So patient and keeps you safe and knowledgeable as you explore the many river crossings and jungle and beach views! Have had ATV tours in Costa Rica before, Jean Pierre is the best

JP was a amazing tour guide My daughter and I had the best time on our 3 hour tour on the Atv. Got to see many facets of Tamarindo and he took lots of wonderful photos. If you're in Tamarindo this is a must. Best thing we have done here. JP is the best. 😊

My family recently took an epic ATV excursion with Jean Pierre of Mantaraya adventures. We had a wonderful time exploring the area of Tamarindo and beyond. Jean Pierre was a wonderful tour guide and went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. He let us set the pace, and showed us the beauty of Costa Rica. We saw beautiful beaches, howler monkeys hanging from the trees, and stopped for a leisurely, delicious lunch at Lola’s. We were not rushed in any way and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The Segway ATVs were new and in great condition and Jean Pierre took the newbies out on a practice trip with him around town before we even headed out. Jean Pierre also made it a point to take my handicapped nephew on his ATV personally so that he would feel comfortable riding. He took great care of my nephew and made sure he had a great time. Jean Pierre also took tons of pictures and videos and sent them to us right away. I would highly recommend an ATV tour with Mantaraya and Jean Pierre.
