What To Expect
You’ll take a short walk to visit the local sake brewery in Fushimi, where you’ll deepen your knowledge of sake and witness traditional brewing processes which have been passed down from generation to generation. After your brewery tour you’ll have the chance to taste a few of the flavors produced there.
Sake Tasting with an Expert You’ll get to try flavors of sake you may never have experienced before – as we’ll introduce you to bottles which have never been exported. Your expert guide will explain the differences in taste – dry, sweet, rich, fruity – and how each of these are produced. Food Pairing You’ll also be served various Otsumami – Japanese snacks which traditionally accompany alcohol – so you can see which types of food and flavor best accompany the different sake types.

5.00A very nice experience with Kyoko and Kiyomi. First we were shown the museum with a lot of insights about the history and making of sake. After that we did a tasting with some many new thing to learn about that topic. The food pairing with sake was my highlight of the day. Thank you so much for these awesome hours.

5.00Our daughter previously enjoyed this tour and booked us to attend. This experience was beyond our expectations - with a huge factor due to our wonderful guide Kiyomi (and her assistant Kyogo). Kiyomi is so knowledgeable with an infectious passion for all things sake! We had a great time learning about the history and complex elements of Sake production. Following the education session we enjoyed tasting a wide range of Sake that illustrated the variety of categories. We also experienced food pairings that enhanced sake flavours. To top it off we were shown how to interpret the information printed on all bottles to confidently select our preferred sake to enjoy anytime. Highly recommend this tour.

5.00We did the 3 hour experience with Kiyomi, Sayaka and Greg. The whole experience was amazing. They took some time to get to know us and related our likes to the sake experience. Sayaka and Greg gave us a tour of the museum and it was incredibly enjoyable; full of education and laughs. Then for the sake tasting, they made it so easy to use what they taught us regarding different types of sake and find our primary likes. We tasted over 10 types of sake and even did a food pairing. For those of you who may be vegetarian, they we able to tailor the tasting for me so I could also do the tasting. If you’re in Kyoto, highly highly recommend booking the tasting. You won’t regret it! We did the Fushimi Inari Shrine and the hike before the sake tasting if that helps you figure out when to time the tour :) Trust me, you won’t regret it!! Go book it now!

5.00One of our favorite experiences in Kyoto. It is always a gamble when booking a tour, but with this we were very happy! Miyuki was AMAZING. Very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and her energy was infectious!! And you get a lot, lot of sake to taste. Husband here: Epic, SAKE! Drunk and knowledge, 10/10, yeeeehawwew!
