As the leaders in the industry we feel it is our duty to have all our tours conducted by professionals. Our Manatee snorkel tours are guided by USCG Captain as well as a licensed and insured dive professional. Our in water professionals are trained as first responders, with First aid, CPR, AED administration and in-water rescue training. Captain and guides are also trained in manatee manners, through the Manatee Eco Tourism Association in coordination with United States Fish and Wildlife Service. The training allows us to lead the industry by operating the saftest tours on the water for our guest and manatees alike.

What To Expect
Join us as we explore the Kings Bay National Wildlife Refuge to find and swim alongside the gentle giants. As you embark on your journey, your Captain and In-Water Guide will teach you everything you need to know about interacting with these gentle creatures. In addition to learning manatee facts and their behavioral patterns, our captains are extremely knowledgeable about the Crystal River and Florida’s manatees, so they’ll be able to answer any questions you may have. Our tours include: full wet suits, mask, snorkel, and bottled water.. All of our tours leave from our onsite private docks, with heated changing facility and hot showers.

5.00They took us out to King’s Bay to swim with the manatees, and it was the best experience! We came on a very cold and windy day (Jan 31, 2026)— there were a lot of manatees out in the bay. We booked a group trip which was 10 people, you put on a wet suit they provide, you take a short boat ride to the bay, and get to snorkel around manatees for what seemed like a long time. They give you instructions on how to swim in the bay and how to follow all rules/laws on respecting the manatees. Dani was an amazing guide!!!— she is very knowledgeable regarding all things manatees, and you can tell she is very passionate. She got some great photos of the group during the outing, and you can buy the photo package on a flash drive at the end. Steve was our boat captain— he was very nice and friendly! On the boat, they offered hot chocolate, coffee, and water. Overall great experience!!!

5.00Had a great time with Dani and Steve on the manatee swim/excursion! Dani was very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife. We had a great time and saw lots of manatee and fish! We were greeted back on the boat with towels and warm drinks. I would recommend this trip to anyone in the area and would book again!!

5.00Experience was amazing! The guide and boat captain were awesome and made the swim fun and educational. The guide and captain were very accommodating to our two year old getting him a wetsuit and goggles to fit him. They wanted to make sure our child was having a good time and included! Definitely a must do activity if you have time.

5.00We did a private tour with Dani and Captain Steve. After meeting Dani in the store we knew we wanted her as our guide. Her love for the manatee and her enthusiasm convinced us the early morning excursion on what was supposed to be a frigid 30 degree morning was the best possible trip. WOW she was right!!! We had a wonderful experience and she was patient with us as we got comfortable with our gear and the water. She made sure we saw as many manatee as possible and was always checking to be sure we were doing well or if we needed anything. We enjoyed a manatee mocha on the way in. It was an experience of a lifetime! We highly recommend Paddletail Adventures and know you will not be disappointed.

5.00The three hour Manatee swim was the best. Our guide Danny, did us all equal of trying to get each of us in photos with the Manatee. She was also very informative. Will definitely recommend to friends and family. Thank you all so much for a great adventure. I also purchased my bucket list, swim with Manatees sweater shirt.
