  Really a special evening. Chef Dave invites you into his home to prepare and cook (then eat!) a lovely meal together. The menu constantly changes, and he's very able to handle dietary restrictions and concerns. Lovely gent in Panama by way of Kenya and France, and a lovely gent. He is very passionate about food, and sharing it with people. A lot of attention to detail, a lot fun, and great food. And he shares all the recipes after as a bonus! High energy, high passion, and just a great time. Be aware that "3.5 hour" might stretch out quite a bit longer!

  Awesome, Awesome, Awesome cooking class. Chef David is a wonderful cook and teacher. My wife and I absolutely thoroughly enjoyed his cooking class. It's highly recommended for anyone visiting Panama City.

  It is our tradition to take a cooking class when we visit new places/ other countries. We have done this in Cancun, Fiji, Panama (our first time here), Italy, New Orleans and others. This class w/Chef Dave was BY FAR our favorite. From the introduction video making sure we got to his place correctly, to the warmth and hospitality of him sharing not only his home but his world with us. We took home so many hacks to use in our kitchen along w/great recipes to make at home. Dave was so great! We would do this class again - even if it was the same reciepe

  Chef Dave was an exceptional host, he made us all feel comfortable and welcomed, shared alot of knowledge and insight that will forever be with us in the kitchen and had a great sense of humor to add lightness to the room. He is also very knowledgeable about history of his roots and blended with panama and Caribbean ties. I would certainly recommend this experience 10/10.

  Chef Dave does a very great job of explaining and demonstrating different cooking techniques. I had an awesome time. The process was long and I couldn't wait to eat. :-) It was work like when you cook at home. :-) The food and company were very good. I highly recommend the experience whether you are alone or with a group.

  Dave’s cooking class was wonderful. Before the class began, he took the time for each of us to briefly introduce ourselves to the group. Each member had their individual workspace which was already prepped. As we prepared the meal, Dave took the time to explain each of the fresh ingredients that included several herbs and spices. He also explained how to get the most flavor from the herbs and spices. Dave also instructed us on the correct way to handle cutting and peeling utensils. Throughout the stages of the meal prep, Dave ensured that every one in the class was actively engaged. The meal was so delicious and flavourful, and everyone agreed. If you are on the fence about booking, don’t hesitate. You will have an amazing time as I did.

  Highlight of my trip to Panama. Not only a fun and educational experience, but this was the best meal I had during my stay. Chef Dave not only conducted a master class for all levels of culinary knowledge, but was entertaining and provided insights into the local culture. I was a solo traveler. The class was a mixed group with all ages from various countries.

  This Afro-Panamanian tour was such a highlight of our trip! If you go, come with questions. There is so much rich history, culture, and storytelling woven into the experience, and it makes it even more meaningful when you engage. And the food was absolutely incredible. There is so much of it, and every bite was delicious! Chef Mark created a truly memorable culinary experience that felt both authentic and thoughtfully curated- every day is a different menu! The juices (pineapple-ginger!) and snacks were also fantastic! This was an immersive cultural experience. Highly, highly recommend!

  A great last minute decision. An intimate setting for a cooking class that focuses on AfroPanamanian dishes and cooking styles. I learned a lot about knives, cooking utensils and spices. The dish my group prepared was amazing. Chef Dave is a must experience.

  This class was so informative and great fun! Chef Dave not only teaches the recipes, he shares his knowledge about the ingredients, history of the dish, etc. If I lived in Panama I would take his class over and over.
