St. Michael's Cave
St Michael’s Cave. Which sees thousands of visitors a year wandering through its huge caverns with just a few steps and easy access. This amazing, natural phenomenon created by rainwater slowly seeping through the limestone rock, turning into a weak carbonic acid which gradually dissolved the rock millions of years ago. In 2021 St Michael's Cave introduced a new lighting upgrade for the very best experience of the caves natural beauty, called The Awakening. Enjoy St Michael's cave like never before! An immersive light and sound installation expressing layer upon layer of history fused with the rock. The ancient cavern lays dormant. The Awakening illuminates sculptures older than time and reawakens their hidden story.

5.00Without this tour Gibraltar is just a rock. Dale was our tour guide arriving promptly at 9 at our hotel. He brought us the east coast to the lighthouse with views of the Mediterranean and a new Mosque(outside only) Great photo op. We then proceeded to St Michael’s Cave. Beautiful. Must see. From here we visited the monkeys. Dale guided us on how to be with them safely making it a really fun experience. The weather did not cooperate on this day so our views of the skywalk and various lookouts were not available but the history, the tunnels and the tour of the area were not to be missed. At the close of our tour Dale brought us to Casemate Square ( area to shop and have lunch). We greatly enjoyed learning the history of Gibraltar through this tour

5.00From the time I booked the tour back in February to when we were picked up, communication was spot on and all details were as advertised. My family ( 2 year old grandchild) of five took the 2 1/2 hour private tour and the money was well worth it. Kareem was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We willhighly reccomend him to our friends and if we return would tour with him and the company Inside Tours- Carl.
