Day 1

Depart from Cape Town at 8am and join the Wine Route to travel to Oudtshoorn

Accommodations

Overnight in a 3 or 4 star hotel or lodge in Oudtshoorn

R 62 nel Klein Karoo

Depart from Cape Town on the N1 route eventually joining the R62 Wine Route to Oudtshoorn. This route takes you past the many towns which include Montagu and Robertson. We also travel on the Little Karoo Region. We travel until we reach Oudtshoorn

Cango Caves

In the afternoon we go on a guided tour of the stunning Cango Caves. The Cango Caves, located near Oudtshoorn in South Africa, are a magnificent subterranean wonder, renowned for their vast halls and intricate limestone formations. These caves stretch deep into the Swartberg Mountains, offering visitors a journey through stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and ancient rock formations. After breakfast we travel to Botlierskop Game Reserve for a game safari

In Botlierskop we go on a guided 4x4 game safari. This is a wonderful experience as we get to see a lot of wildlife include some of Africa's Big 5, lions, elephants, buffalo, rhino and much more. A 4x4 game drive in Botlierskop Game Reserve offers an exhilarating journey through the diverse landscapes of the Western Cape, South Africa. As you traverse the rugged terrain, you’ll encounter a wide range of wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, and buffalo, all in their natural habitats.     The 4 day garden route tour was a great experience. The guide/driver, Timba, was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. The lodging provided was great. The safari, hiking and wine tasting were all highlights of the trip. Highly recommend!
