Jama Masjid

First, visit the Jama Masjid in Old Delhi, also known as Masjid-i Jahānnumā. Built between 1650 and 1656 by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan—famed for commissioning the Taj Mahal in Agra—it is one of the grandest mosques in India. Raj Ghat

India Gate

India Gate, located in the heart of New Delhi, was designed by Edwin Lutyens in 1921. This iconic monument honors the soldiers of the former British Indian Army who sacrificed their lives in the Afghan Wars and World War I.

Parliament House

Parliament House, or Sansad Bhavan, is one of Delhi’s most iconic landmarks. Situated at the end of Sansad Marg, it was designed by British architects Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker and was inaugurated in 1927 by Lord Irwin, the then Governor-General of India.

Rashtrapati Bhavan

Rashtrapati Bhavan – The official residence of the President of India, Rashtrapati Bhavan is one of the largest and grandest presidential homes in the world. Located at the western end of Rajpath in New Delhi, it was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and blends classical Western and Indian architectural styles. The complex includes majestic halls, vast gardens (Mughal Gardens), and ceremonial avenues, making it a stunning symbol of India’s democratic legacy and architectural splendor.

Qutub Minar, a 73-meter (240 ft) tall tower built of red sandstone and marble, is the tallest brick minaret in the world and one of India’s most renowned historical landmarks. Its construction was begun by Qutb ud-Din Aibak, founder of the Mamluk Dynasty in Delhi, and later completed by his successor and son-in-law, Iltutmish. A UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the heart of Delhi, the monument attracts thousands of visitors daily and remains visible from various parts of the city.

Humayun's Tomb

Humayun’s Tomb, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi, is one of the city’s most visited monuments. Known for its stunning garden-style design—the first of its kind in India—it was commissioned by Haji Begum, the widow of Mughal emperor Humayun, about nine years after his death. This architectural masterpiece remains a symbol of Mughal elegance and grandeur.

Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal, located in Agra, India, is an iconic white marble mausoleum and one of the country’s most celebrated monuments. Agra Fort

Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a grand fortress built of red sandstone by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century. Later, Shah Jahan enhanced its beauty with marble embellishments. Located on the banks of the Yamuna River, the fort took over 4,000 workers and eight years to complete. Just 2.5 kilometers from the Taj Mahal, this majestic structure is often referred to as a walled city.

Fatehpur Sikri

After visiting Agra Fort, proceed to Fatehpur Sikri, a magnificent fortified city about 40 km west of Agra. Founded by Emperor Akbar, it served as the Mughal capital from 1572 to 1585. Akbar selected this site after consulting the Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chishti, who had predicted the birth of his heir. To honor the saint’s prophecy, Akbar built an impressive complex here, featuring a grand mosque—still in use today—and three palaces believed to have been dedicated to his favorite wives: one Hindu, one Muslim, and one Christian.

Hawa Mahal - The Palace of Breeze

Visit the Hawa Mahal, or “Palace of Winds,” one of Jaipur’s most iconic landmarks. Built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh, this five-story pink sandstone marvel features 953 intricately carved windows, designed to allow royal ladies to observe street life unseen. Its unique honeycomb façade and stunning architecture make it a must-visit highlight of the Pink City.

Royal Gaitor Tumbas

Visit the Royal Gaitor Tombs in Jaipur, a peaceful heritage site at the base of Nahargarh Fort. These intricately carved marble cenotaphs, built in honor of Jaipur’s former rulers, showcase exquisite Rajput architecture and offer a serene glimpse into the city’s royal legacy.

Jal Mahal

Pass by the Jal Mahal in Jaipur, a stunning palace set in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. Known for its unique Rajput and Mughal architecture, the palace appears to float on water and offers a picturesque view, especially at sunrise and sunset.

Monkey Temple

The Monkey Temple, also known as Galtaji Temple, is a historic Hindu pilgrimage site located on the outskirts of Jaipur.
