• Amazing gorilla trekking in Uganda

  Gard was our amazing driver for our Safari trip from the Kigali Airport in Rwanda to our hotel and then on to crossing the border into Uganda and on to our Lodge in the Rwindi Impenetrable Forest (and back again at the end). He always had bottled water available for us in the car which mattered so much! We felt totally safe with his careful driving (as Rwandans drive on the right side and Ugandans drive on the left). He helped us negotiate security and immigration. We made lovely stops along the way to eat, photograph and purchase items. In addition, Gard was so knowledgeable and shared his information with us during the trip from sites and wildlife along the drive, the history of the countries, to essential safety precautions. While at our lodge, he would meet with us each evening so we could prepare for the upcoming treks, helping us to rent gators, get masks, and review the supplies to pack. He would cheerfully drive us each day, multiple times (regardless of the early morning departures), and then diligently wait for us (for many hours) while we trekked. While he waited, he continued to educate himself by reading books on the bat populations and bird varieties in Bwindi, to share this knowledge with others. He had just completed his college degree in Accounting (amazing) and yet still continues learning. One of the most admirable qualities that I appreciated in Gard was his calm and patient personality: nothing shocked him or frustrated him- he was always cheerful and helpful. We did have a Visa issue at the border and he calmly and patiently helped us maneuver through. We also had trouble with ATMs and he would cheerfully drive us to other ATMs until we had success. If we had a question or concern, he would find the answer. If I was getting car sick, he would drive slower and make stops along the way. Gard Florence is the one who made this trip a success, as he totally customized our tour to suit us individually. We highly recommend Gard, as he was definitely worth a generous tip! Thank you so much Gard. Ngoni mistakenly double charged us when signing up which took some time to reverse the charges. We scheduled two days of Gorilla Trekng through Ngoni and they were amazing experiences which we will always treasure 💕 We had a beautiful cabin at the border of the impenetrable forest, with delicious meals and excellent service. The temperatures were very chilly in the evening inside the cabin, so they provided hot water bottle and blankets, which kept us warm. The hotel near the airport was excellent and the free transportation to and from the hotel/airport was beneficial. This was an amazing once in a lifetime experience!   What an amazing experience!! Seeing the silverback gorilla has been on my bucket list forever and this safari delivered. Our guide was Chris Atumanya and he did a fantastic job. We were totally in his hands for four days and he did a fantastic job from start to finish - making everything stress-free and running like clockwork. I recommend you ask for him! In fairness, there were some glitches with the front office but everything worked out in the end and we had a really memorable time - hence the five stars. Feel free to reach out with questions.

  The trip was amazing. Our tour guide Gard was so great and helpful in creating a positive and welcoming experience for us throughout the tour. They picked us up from our hostel, he was flexible with movements and very knowledgeable to both Rwandan and Ugandan culture. As 2 backpackers in our 20’s we couldn’t recommend this tour and Gard high enough.

  Reagen made my gorilla trekking experience unforgettable. He knows a lot about animal behavior, even chimpanzees as he spent a stint working as a volunteer researcher there. Every moment with him was a learning experience. He shared details about conservation efforts and ecosystems without overwhelming me, blending facts with engaging stories. What stood out was his enthusiasm—you could tell he genuinely loved teaching others about Uganda’s wildlife. As a solo traveler, he was great to have. He adjusted the pace to my needs, answered endless questions, and connected me with local communities to explore Ugandan culture firsthand. Highly recc if you want a guide who’s both deeply knowledgeable and genuinely thoughtful!

  It was absolutely amazing to be able to experience the gorillas in their natural environment. Our guide Smith was very knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. We ended up having flight issues and Ngoni Safari was able to accommodate and make things work despite a challenging schedule. Would absolutely recommend as it’s a once in a life time experience!

  Having this kind of experience has been essential for my life and my family's life because we never know what exists on our planet animals that are our ancestors and that this proves us that we are from a single line of evolution and that is that it knows of uganda were a unique service, responsible committed and very sensitive with nature giving social responsibility to everyone who goes.
