On the second day of our journey, we will immerse ourselves in the captivating city of Ubatuba, a place where roadside beaches are densely populated and gradually transition into a more rustic and untamed ambiance as we approach the sea. Ubatuba boasts a staggering coastline that stretches over 100 kilometers, revealing a plethora of natural wonders in the form of enchanting coves and bays, adorned with emerald and sapphire waters, framed by lush vegetation that thrives in abundance. Within this picturesque landscape, you'll find an abundance of attractions awaiting exploration. Delight in the cascading beauty of numerous waterfalls, embark on exciting island adventures, and traverse the many scenic trails that meander through the pristine surroundings.

- Morning departure to Ubatuba In Ubatuba, we will explore the northern region, starting with a visit to Praia Brava do Camburi. This area is accessible via a short but steep trail, leading to a secluded and pristine beach. Nestled within the lush surroundings of the Serra do Mar State Park, this beach is untouched by development, offering a pure connection with nature. Due to its remote location, Praia Brava do Camburi remains a hidden gem, providing a tranquil escape far from the crowds. Following this, we will stop at Praia da Fazenda, home to the visitor center of the Picinguaba Nucleus of the park. Projeto Tamar

Visitors have the opportunity to explore the remarkable TAMAR project, an NGO dedicated to the preservation and conservation of five endangered sea turtle species found in Brazil. Located in Ubatuba, the TAMAR facility offers a comprehensive infrastructure that encompasses both environmental education and leisure activities, featuring informative exhibits, tanks, and aquariums. By paying a visit to TAMAR in Ubatuba, tourists can gain valuable insights into the crucial work being done to protect these magnificent creatures. As evening descends, embark on a scenic journey from Ubatuba to Paraty, where a mesmerizing road will lead you through a myriad of picturesque beaches, each offering its own unique and breathtaking views. The route winds through an expansive uninhabited area, characterized by majestic mountains and well-preserved forests, immersing you in the unspoiled beauty of nature.

Saco do Mamangua

After a restful night in Paraty, we embark on an extraordinary journey to the enchanting village of Paraty-Mirim, renowned for its serene beaches and the opportunity to swim in the nearby rivers. Our exploration continues to the awe-inspiring Saco do Mamanguá, celebrated as the world's only tropical fjord, attracting adventurers from across the globe with its breathtaking beaches. We commence our adventure with a delightful boat ride, gracefully gliding through the shimmering waters as we make our way towards the base of Sugar Loaf Mountain. As we disembark, a steep trail through the verdant forest awaits us, challenging us with uneven terrain for approximately 40 minutes. However, the effort is rewarded as we ascend to the summit, situated 420 meters above ground level. Here, we are treated to an unrivaled panoramic view of Saco de Mamanguá, where the beauty of this natural wonder unfolds before our eyes. At the conclusion of the trail, a gentle climb atop a rock awaits.

Saco do Mamangua

Following the trail, we take a well-deserved break to relax and savor the flavors of the local cuisine, indulging in the region's culinary delights. With renewed energy, we continue our journey, sailing through the picturesque canal, passing numerous islands and idyllic beaches along the way. Finally, we arrive at the crown jewel of the region—Saco do Mamanguá, the tropical fjord renowned for its breathtaking beauty. While it may lack the snowy mountains typically associated with fjords, the awe-inspiring biodiversity of the Atlantic Forest that surrounds it more than compensates. Saco do Mamanguá boasts an extensive environmental reserve, accessible exclusively by boat. The emerald-green waters stretch inland for 8 kilometers, embracing a protected region teeming with 10 rivers, 30 pristine beaches, and hidden waterfalls tucked away within the verdant woods. The sheer exuberance of this preserved area played a pivotal role in Paraty being declared a Natural Heritage site by UNESCO.

As we return to the heart of Paraty, we embark on a captivating walking tour through its cobblestone streets, where the colonial past comes to life. Immaculately preserved mansions, 18th and 19th-century churches, and the very cobblestones that bear witness to the labor of slaves transport us back in time. This pedestrian-only area beckons us to explore its treasures, offering an array of activities and sights to discover. Embarking on a walking tour through the enchanting Historic Center is a truly rewarding experience, as it unveils secrets, curiosities, and hidden gems. Acknowledged by the National Historical Heritage Institute, the Historic Center of Paraty was built between the 17th and 19th centuries, and to this day, many colonial houses and churches remain exceptionally well-preserved. These historical buildings now house a diverse range of establishments, including bars, restaurants, inns, and artisanal shops. Exploring the Historic Center is a journey that can easily occupy several hours, with its abundance of artistic interventions, captivating shops, and an array of dining options to suit every taste and budget, from casual bites to gourmet experiences.

Angra Dos Reis

The scenic road journey between Paraty and the charming Angra dos Reis offers a mesmerizing landscape, with countless islands unveiling themselves at every turn along a coastline adorned with bays and peninsulas. Among these, the crown jewel is Ilha Grande (Big Island), the largest tourist attraction in the region. In Angra dos Reis, where all roads lead to the sea, there are numerous activities to enjoy. We will arrive at a marina to embark on a motorboat for a small group tour, allowing us to explore the main offshore islands for approximately 6 hours. With 365 islands and over 2,000 beaches, Angra dos Reis is a paradise surrounded by the characteristic emerald-green sea, pristine white sand, and the lush vegetation of the Atlantic Forest. The destination's rich marine life and well-preserved natural areas make it one of the most beautiful coastal areas in Brazil.
