Moremi Game Reserve

Upon arrival in Maun, you’ll be met by your safari guide who will go through the basics on what to expect over the next few days. It's also an opportunity for you to discuss and understand your expectations from the Safari. Transfer by road to Moremi Game Reserve in a game viewing vehicle where you’ll find your camp ready for you to relax and enjoy. The schedule will include exploring the surrounding wilderness on early morning game drives and in the late afternoon. Be on the lookout for a diversity of ecosystems which come with an amazing array of wildlife sightings, birding and natural beauty. Your professional guide, using his knowledge and experience of the area will ensure that you enjoy the very best of what Moremi Game Reserve has to offer.

Moremi Game Reserve

A light breakfast will be served before the early morning game drive. An astonishing amount of game is found here. Here sightings of elephant, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, impala, giraffe, tsessebe, zebra, blue wildebeest, sable antelope, greater kudu, red lechwe, and waterbuck are common. Other equally incredible wildlife species that can be spotted are lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyena and African wild dog. The reserve is also home to a surprising diversity of birds, from water birds to forest dwellers, so expect excellent birding too. After a day filled with excellent guiding, outstanding wildlife viewing, delicious dinner around the campfire and warm African hospitality, retreat to the comfort of your tent and fall asleep to the calls of the African wild.

Khwai

Following an early breakfast, we pack up the camp and continue our journey to Khwai. Located in the north of the Moremi Game Reserve, the communally managed Khwai Concession offers a wonderful alternative to Moremi Game Reserve with equally good views of wildlife viewing, all year round. Our journey follows the Khwai River allowing you to enjoy extensive views over the river, where you can observe hippos, baboons and countless birds. The Khwai River flows through the concession, forming marshy areas and in others is a mere narrow channel. Khwai River forms a reliable source of water attracting sable and roan antelopes, zebras, impalas, giraffes, buffaloes and many other species. The water channels have good populations of hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and lechwe. As is the case with most of northern Botswana, elephants can be found everywhere, and lions, leopards, hyenas and African wild dogs are often seen.

Khwai

Arrive at camp in time for lunch where you’ll find your camp ready for you to relax and enjoy.

Khwai

Continue with game drives which offer the opportunity to explore Khwai Concession during the day and night. Night drives provide a unique look at the nocturnal creatures of the concession.

Maun

Wake up early on your final morning in the Khwai Concession for a goodbye breakfast before you head back to Maun. You’ll get much game viewing in as possible as you’ll be driving through the diverse and game-rich Okavango Delta area. You will arrive in Maun in time for your flight, marking the end of your safari.
