Enjoy a guided lakeside nature walk with open views of Mounts Muhabura, Bisoke, and Gahinga. Visit nearby communities to learn about daily rural life, including banana and maize farming. After breakfast, head out for a boat cruise on Lake Burera using a motorboat or traditional canoe. Explore several small islands, including Bushongo, Munanira, Bishosho, and Ile de Cyuza Island, with time to walk around, relax, and enjoy the lake scenery. Along the way, take part in bird watching, spotting species such as crested cranes, herons, kingfishers, and cormorants. Return to the mainland in the afternoon for leisure time by the lake.
