We have been providing quality Horseback Adventure Vacations for the past 42 years and are the only outfitter in our area. You will normally not see another person on our trips except the group you are with. You can unplug and truly surround yourself with nothing but the sights and sounds of Mother Nature. The owners Tom & Shawn Vinson accompany every trip to ensure you are well taken care of by ourselves and our staff.

After all of our gear has been packed on the pack horses, we will be on our way to West Range Cabins enjoying beautiful scenery along the way, approximately a 4 1/2 hour ride. Stopping for lunch and pictures along the way.

After Breakfast you will once again spend the day riding in the mountains with breathtaking views all around you. A little walking may be required in the steep spots. Returning to camp approximately 4 - 4:30pm

A repeat day of yesterday only riding a new trail with new sites to see.
Return to the ranch in Brule

After breakfast we will pack up all the gear on the pack horses and make our way back down the valley to the ranch in Brule where you will say goodbye to your trusty horse and have wonderful memories of a fabulous trip to share with others.

All bedding is provided at West Range Cabins

5.00What a wonderful experience- memories that will last a lifetime. June 2025, my husband's dream holiday (mountains and cowboy) and my 3 girls favourite activity (riding)...made exceptional by this unique, family run company. Tom and Shawn are warm, hugely experienced, lovely people, who, along with Bellina, saw to our every need - from teaching us oldies to mount and control the horses, pairing our more experienced girls with fun rides, and taking us through exciting trails with such beautiful views, to looking after the horses, finding the cattle, and playing with the dog, we just didn't want it to end. Camp fires, home cooked meals (with home grown beef, so good!), lawn games in the meadow, comfy warm cabins, a hot shower (that was a welcome surprise!), evening chatter and morning coffee - so well looked after. Considering the mixed ability of our group (novices and more experienced riders) plus some nerves at how sore it would make us, we were pleasantly surprised that, all in all, we didn't suffer! Thank you to the hard work and attention of lovely, experiemced, kind people, we had a great time. We'd recommend it to anyone and seriously considering coming back again next year.

5.00We had a great trip and already have had a few friends asking for the details so they can book after seeing our photos and hearing our adventures !! Even though the weather wasn’t kind to us we still had a great time ! If you want a reset and are prepared to experience a few days “off grid “ then no better people to travel with ! The horses were fantastic - really smart and well cared for and Shawn and Tom were great hosts ! Thank u so much again !

5.00We had the best time with Shawn, Tom and Belina. The horses are so well looked after, the cabins in the woods were so beautiful and peaceful, Shawn made us great food ... especially morning pancakes. The riding was amazing too. We saw so much breathtaking scenery and had picnics on remote hillsides with no one to be seen. On our one rainy day, we had a fire surrounded by the horses; it was magical!! Thank you so much for giving us such an incredible experience, we will never forget it!!! The riding was wonderful
