Maasai Mara National Reserve
The Masai Mara is world-renowned for its abundance of wildlife, offering some of the best game viewing in Africa. Visitors can expect to see the legendary Big Five â lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino â along with cheetahs, hyenas, giraffes, zebras, and countless antelope species like impalas, gazelles, and topis. Between July and October, the reserve becomes the stage for the Great Wildebeest Migration, when millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the plains and brave the crocodile-filled Mara River. The Mara is also a paradise for birdwatchers, with over 450 species recorded. Youâll spot colorful lilac-breasted rollers, ostriches, vultures, crowned cranes, secretary birds, and a variety of raptors soaring overhead. Whether itâs the roar of a lion at dawn, the sight of elephants moving gracefully across the savannah, or the vibrant flash of a bird in flight, the Masai Mara offers an unforgettable safari filled with life at every turn.

Maasai Mara National Reserve
Full-day game drive at Masai Mara from 0700hrs to 1700hrs This day will be spent on viewing Kenyaâs finest wildlife park in search of Africaâs Big Five, they include the African elephants, lions, leopards, Cape buffalos, and rhinoceros. The expected animals in Mara are giraffes, baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, grey jackals, spotted hyena, topis, impala, wildebeest, zebras, and hippos It is also common to see lions either basking after a heavy meal. Cheetahs and leopards are harder to spot but reasonably common. A picnic lunch box will be provided by the hotel and after the game, the driver return to the hotel for dinner.
Maasai Mara National Reserve
Mara river is thrilled place in Masai Mara, it gives travelers great opportunity to sight see water animals like hippos, crocodiles and water birds. The Musiara Swamp located near Mara river-The best place for Excellent game watching for varieties of animals e.g., lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos and birds. The Eluai Plain-Known as a massive area for Wilderness and scattered trees, the plain is so amazing as you can see for miles and have sight of many animals. The Unfenced Masai mara and Serengeti Border-Itâs a transborder connecting Tanzania and Kenya. The unfenced border allows animals to move freely between Masai mara and Serengeti, regrettably visitors cannot cross the border.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Maasai village and cultural Tour, Maasai community forms one of the most active and lively activities that one should not miss while at Masai Mara. From their dancing stanzas and cultural activities like ornament making. Later Proceed to Nairobi with a stopover at Narok for a hot Lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park
The Park is one of the top visited destinations in Kenya, you'll almost certainly see rhinos (both black and white), rare treeclimbing lions and endangered Rothschild's giraffes. Other animals found in the park includes, leopards, cheetahs, waterbuck, hyena, buffalo, baboons, vervet monkeys, and gazelles The Park is known as a bird loverâs hub due to the numerous birds (over 400 bird species) including Egyptian geese, pelican, fish eagle etc. The Park is a haven of beautiful nature that includes the famous makalia fall. Makalia falls is spectacular for viewing, just watching the water from the cliff.

5.00Lucy was extremely communicative from the start. We had to cancel an earlier booking in August last year and postpone it to January due to health issues. Lucy was nothing but understanding - she even charged us less than the initial quote since we were going off season. The guide we were given in Masai Maara was also the best. He was super fun, very accommodating and gave us the best times and spots for pictures. The places to stay were amazing and super comfortable. I would totally go back with Lucy and Savannah Woods again :) recommend the team 10/10. We saw the Big 5 even though we went in January đ

5.00I had the chance to go on a 3-day safari in the Maasai Mara with Savannah Woods Safaris, and the experience was absolutely amazing! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish: transport, game drives, accommodation, and meals. The food at the camp was excellent and varied, which made the stay even more enjoyable. A big thank you to Lucy, who was always available, attentive, and caring. You can really feel that the team does everything to make you enjoy the experience to the fullest. Thanks to them, I had an unforgettable time in the heart of the savannah, in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Savannah Woods Safaris to anyone wishing to discover the Maasai Mara in the best possible conditions!

5.00A truly amazing experience from start to finish. We were picked up in Nairobi by Kevin on day 1. He dropped us at the airport on Day 4. Throughout we were treated like kings. Kevin is an excellent driver and extremely knowledgeable about everything we saw. He was able to show us animals and experiences that were beyond anything we pictured weâd be able to see. We actually gained a greater appreciation for everything Kevin was able to do when we took a dawn balloon ride. While the ballon flight was well worth doing, we expected to see great amounts of animals from the air, but saw very few. This shows how skilled Kevin is at finding the truly spectacular sights. We really didnât picture how close we would be to these animals when we booked this trip. On our way to the Maasai Mara, we stopped at a Maasai village where we were greeted warmly with dancing and learned about their culture. Working with Lucy was smooth and Savannah Woods was very accommodating as we booked everything via email and internet. She booked us into the Entim Private camp which was simply amazing. Fantastic views, spectacular food and their service was worthy of any 5 star hotel in the world. Nightly visits from hippos, elephants and lions rounded out the experience. Lunch beside an acacia tree out on the savannah was only topped by the last nightâs âsundownerâ where we enjoyed wine and snacks as the sun was setting. All arranged by Savannah Woods Safaris.

5.00We had an unforgettable trip at the Mara with our guide Kelvin. He loves his job which made the trip more enjoyable for us. His knowledge on the animals of the Mara and even the bird species was great to experience. Equipped with a Camera, seats and a table, he chose the perfect spots for Breakfast and Lunch where he captured picturesque moments of us and the beautiful Savannah. Mara Sopa Lodge had great service and the food was good. We had a great time and we left with amazing memories! We will definitely recommend Savannah Woods and Kelvin to all our friends and families.

5.00It was a great and pleasant experience dealing with Savannah. Lucy helped in all the arrangement in making this trip smooth sailing. Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postponed our trip, she was very understand and accommodating Our guide, Peter had an incredible ability to spot animals we never would have notice on our own. The game drives were interesting and fun. He was at his best to fulfill all request, and very patient in answering all our questions. That said, we experienced issue in time management. For both mornings we did not pick up on agreed time and there was no update. Despite this, we still had a great time with Peter and we enjoyed the services provided by Savannah.

5.00I want to split my review into 3 part. First of all, Savana Woods is the real deal! A professional company with the best customer service I have seen! Lucy is just amazing! Always available, happy to help, proactive I am just speechless! I had issues here and there, she took care of every little thing I had with such patience and grace it was just pleasure! Second is the trip, highly recommended! We saw plenty of animals even on the low season, cheata hunting, plenty lions and lioness, elephants, giraffes, hippos and many more! Evans the tour guide was always helping, considering and fun. Third the mara sopa lodge was a good option in a good location, the food was great with many options and the food biz for the Safari day was also excellent! Thank you Savana Woods for an unforgettable experience!!

5.00From the moment we decided to visit Masai Mara for our honeymoon and my wifeâs birthday celebration, we wanted an experience that would be unforgettable. After looking at different options, we found Savannah Woods Safaris, and it was the best decision we made. Ms. Lucy took care of everything, from our pick-up in Nairobi to our drop-off, making sure every detail was perfect. We stayed at the beautiful Jambo Mara Lodge, where our rooms were decorated and we had a cake-cutting ceremony with Maasai warriors, who sang their traditional song for us. The surprises didnât stop there! Ms. Lucy arranged a sundowner in the middle of the savannah where we enjoyed champagne while celebrating my wifeâs birthday in an unforgettable setting - It was like a dream. Mr. Kelvin, our guide, made sure we had an amazing and safe safari. He helped us spot all the Big Five (we were lucky enough to see them all!) and shared his love for birds, showing us his bird log. Savannah Woods Safaris truly cares about providing an amazing experience, and it was worth every penny. I would definitely recommend themâdonât think twice, just book them and youâll thank me later!

5.00My wife and I went to 3-day private safari to Maasai Mara, and it was an absolutely incredible experience, we couldnât be happier with how everything was handled from start to finish. 1. Booking and Communication: From the very beginning, the booking process was seamless and well-organized. The communication with Lucy, the manager, was prompt, clear, and professional. We were provided detailed information about the itinerary, accommodation, and what to expect, which made planning much easier. All payment questions were also solved quickly and smoothly. 2. Transportation and Comfort: We opted for a 4x4 jeep, and it was the best choice we could have made. The ride was smooth even on rough terrains, and the vehicle was well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. As it was a private safari, we had more flexibility in planning the routes - huge advantage as well. 3. The Driver/Guide: Our guide Kelvin was simply outstanding â knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly skilled at spotting wildlife. His deep understanding of the animals, their behaviors, and the landscape made the safari even more enjoyable. 4. Accommodation and Food: We stayed at Jambo Mara Loudge, and really liked it. The cottage was clean and cozy, the staff was always welcoming and attentive, the food was nice with a lot of options to choose from. 5. The Safari Experience: The game drives exceeded all our expectations. Despite the low season, we were fortunate to witness breathtaking wildlife encounters, including lions, elephants, hippos, giraffes, and even a cheetah hunting. The landscapes of Maasai Mara are also incredible. To sum up, this was one of the best experiences we had ever, and we are grateful to the team, especially to Kelvin for making it so memorable!

Before we booked, Lucy quickly provided us with several very comprehensive quotations for different options, explaining all the costs, the inclusions, and the description of the activities. The booking was straightforward, and we are really satisfied of that. During the safari, we were picked up at the hotel at the time agreed by our guide, Mr. Anthony, he was an extremely pleasant, informative , helpful, and always willing to meet our requests. The safari was great, we are extremely happy about our experience and we definitely recommend choosing Savannah Woods Safaris.
