Great tour through the canyon with our guide,Perry! Beautiful scenery, very informative descriptions of the history and the archeological sites in the area. Enjoyed being in an enclosed jeep on the very sandy, bumpy road. Highly recommend this company.

Jason was our guide. He spent part of his childhood in the canyon and had all sorts of stories about the area and growing up there. What a great story teller! We could tell he loves this area! We had no idea the area was so large and how many ancient sites there were!

The guide was fantastic. She is Dine and mixed her own story with the story of the canyon and of the Navajo and Hopi people. We had a window into something very special. Very highly recommended!

Misty was an excellent guide for our 4-hr tour of this beautiful, historic canyon. She was very knowledgeable and friendly, and her own clan (family) history gave us so much insight into the close Navajo family connections. The tour was very interesting on both an historic and personal level. She arrived right on time, vehicle was clean, and we had a beautiful day to see everything. Even if you were allowed to go on your own, it's so much better with a personal, well-informed guide!

Seeing up close and hearing about the canyon history from a native guide makes the cost well worth the price. We took this private 4 hour tour and saw rock art, ruins and wildlife you cannot see from the rim overlooks. Check the tour prices from different operators and what they include, be aware that there is a separate $15 per person tribal entry fee to enter the canyon. Four hours is about the right amount of time but be aware you do not get all the way to Spider Rock or Massacre Cave so check them out from the rim overlooks. Our guide Richard was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the canyon and took time to show and talk about. Be aware that trails are rough and dusty as the entire floor of the canyon is sand with many wash and water crossings. Our vehicle could have had a better suspension and been cleaner inside so dress and expect accordingly. We give it 4 stars instead of 5 only because of the vehicle otherwise a 5.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our 4-hour jeep tour with Richard as our tour guide. He provided many layers of history and stories that brought the canyon walls to life for us. Days later we are still talking with friends and family about our time in the canyon. Truly what a gift to learn about the Navajo and Anasazi people. We highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Reginald met us at the parking lot right on time and immediately whisked the two of us off to the canyon while he began sharing his in-depth knowledge of the sites we saw. Two aspects made this adventure unique--first and foremost was Reginald and secondly, the canyon pictographs and ruins. Reginald's warm personality; insightful Navajo stories and interpretations of Navajo history; and flute playing immersed us into the culture. The canyon itself is stunning--a mix of natural beauty with significant historical ruins and pictographs. There's so much to see that we'd like to come back and spend more time here. This tour was top of the list on our trip to Zion, Bryce, Monument Valley, Valley of Fire, Bears Ear, Capitol Reef, and Grand Staircase. Definitely go a little out of your way to fit this in.
