What To Expect
The Bund (Wai Tan)
Meet up your friendly private guide at your hotel in the morning, afternoon or evening, and have a short discussion with your guide for your things to do list. Then hop-on the comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to start your exciting 4-hour journey. You can either following the sample itinerary or going with your own customized one. Typically, you will visit The Bund, see the amazing city landmarks along the Huangpu river such as pearl TV Tower, shanghai tower and world financial center. Stroll down the river and have a close look of the old colonial buildings.

Flexible, Safe and Comfortable Tour of Shanghai

5.00We booked this tour as two english-speaking women traveling alone in Shanghai. We were looking for a safe way to see the main sights in the city. In the end, our friend who is Chinese joined us for the tour, but I will still say that I highly recommend this tour for people looking for a well-curated, comfortable, safe tour in English. Starting 24-hours before the tour Alana was in constant communication with me via text message. She very kindly accommodated the addition of a third tour member after we had booked for only two people. She sent pictures of the car we should look for to pick us up at our hotel and spoke to us on the phone once we were in the car to be sure we were comfortable and knew how to reach her if we needed anything during our drive. The car was big and comfortable (with AC!). Kiki, our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the sights we visited and helped us make the tour truly flexible and customized. We only had a vague idea of what we wanted to do and see, so we made it up on-the-fly. That was a huge plus! Kiki narrated our journey with facts and history about all of the sights we were seeing. One of the best, and unexpected parts of the tour was a quick stop at a local restaurant for some amazing regional dishes! We had no idea this would be included in the tour and it was a huge bonus! The food was delicious. Overall spending the day on this tour felt like a special treat. Our driver spent the day ready to whisk us to our next destination, Kiki nimbly navigated us through the Yu Gardens and Jade Temple and had supplies at-the-ready, like tissues and electric fans. If we veered off our schedule because we saw a shop we wanted to visit, Kiki quickly changed course and rearranged the day to accommodate. This was a perfect way to spend our day.

5.00We have a perfect evening on a private evening tour of Shanghai. Our tour guide Kalvin is a native of Shanghai and had been a professional guide for 20 years. He took us to old town, explained the history of the city, took us to the financial district, we had a delicious dinner and ended with a walk of the Bund. Couldn’t have been better!

5.00We had a wonderful tour with Kiki. She is extremely knowledgeable and we learned so much about Shanghai and its history. From booking everything to the tour, we had excellent communication and follow-up, and were able to have pick up at our hotel outside of the downtown area. Kiki and the driver (sorry forgot his name) were super flexible, friendly and accommodating, when we had to make a slight change they went out of their way to make sure we were able to finish with seeing the sights and having a great time. I would absolutely book another tour again with this team and Kiki when I return for a more comprehensive tour.
