What To Expect
Xi'an City Wall
Your guide will meet you in the hotel lobby at your request time. First, walking through the magnificent South Gate of City Wall, follow the path to the City wall south-east park ,see locals lives, and join them to try different kinds body-exercises, have a wonderful experience with natives. Then walk into the Wenchang Wall Gate, wander around the City Wall inner allays, catch sight of the old part with lay-folks 'trivialities” like temporary morning market or street side hair cut barbers, if you are lucky, you can meet wedding picture photograph couple probably.. Go up to the East gate of the City Wall, or walk along the moat to the North gate, enjoy fantastic view of the city from top of the Wall.
Xi'an Bell Tower
Bell Tower is considered as the downtown center building in Xi'an , which was built in 1384AD, next to Drum Tower. Muslim market is behind the Drum Tower, it is also called Muslim quarter or called Muslim Street. You will follow your guide explore Muslim snacks along the crowded main street to the back lanes, you will not only see a lot of interesting food such as big stick limb skewers, yellow color sticky rice, stir fruit ice cream, nuts candy, beef burger.....you also will see the female mosque and Male Mosque, and see local Muslim people life in the narrow alleys behind the crowding.

5.00Elith was my guide for this trip. She was an excellent guide, explaining everything clearly and taking me to all the places mentioned on the tour and more. The only disappointing thing, and through no fault of hers, was that I couldn’t cycle on the wall. Age discrimination! So be aware that the maximum age to cycle is 65. We tried at three different spots and got a firm “no” on all. So we walked instead. We had a nice local meal, and a leisurely stroll through the Muslim quarter. I highly recommend this trip and this guide.

5.00Our one-day tour of Xi’an was long, but excellent. We visited the Terracotta Warriors, City Wall and Muslim Quarter. The Terracotta Warriors were the highlight of our visit. The City Wall was interesting. We could have done without the brief Muslim Quarter visit. The Chinese lunch provided was outstanding. Also, our same-day round-trip flights from Beijing to Xi’an worked out very well and used quality air carriers. Our guide Owen was outstanding. He had excellent English speaking skills, was very informative and attentive to our needs. Our driver “Mr. Wong” was good in difficult traffic conditions. We highly recommend Owen, Mr. Wong and Catherine Lu Tours when touring Xi’an.
