What To Expect
Mercado nro 1 de Surquillo
We have designed this experience of around 4 hours where we mix two ways of enjoying the city of Lima: one of them is Gastronomic and the other, Artistic. We start our experience visiting a local market located in the district of Surquillo, where we will have a tasting of exotic fruits and we will also try some of the traditional dishes of Lima such as 'Ceviche con Chicharrón', 'Pan con chicharrón' or others. We will tour the entire market while we explain the history and properties of the most important ingredients that we have in the country, such as potatoes, corn, seeds, peppers and others. And the most important thing is that you will mix with the locals to see how we do our shopping in a traditional way.
Barranco
After eating and touring the market, with our mobility we will go to the district of Barranco, the artistic and bohemian district of Lima. We will have the opportunity to appreciate the murals and street art that have been developed in the last 6 years. It is beautiful and very colorful! In this part of the tour you will be able to take many ideal photos to post on your social networks or send to your friends. Likewise, Barranco also has a lot of history, information that we will share with you while we walk through the Bridge of Sighs. In this district we will go for a Peruvian coffee and a craft beer or the famous Pisco Sour, you decide!

5.00Our guide Nathaly was terrific. So organised, she provided us with information beforehand to select what option we wanted, transportation was comfortable and new. Her easy manner and great personality made the entire time so enjoyable. She explained about so many things and really explored Barranco with us. I would and have already told others that this tour is a MUST. Her family company is Travelling Hearts and it is the perfect name for the Tour Company They also do Cusco!!

5.00I highly recommend taking this tour! Gracias to Nathaly for my half day tour of Barranco. I was on my own in a new country and had many concerns before coming and meeting up with a stranger. We had a lovely day and she kept me safe. I felt instantly at ease with her as she is so sweet and also our great driver. She is very knowledgeable about all the art, history, geography, everything! I especially liked trying the exotic fruit at the mercado. The food and drinks were delicious and she was sure to take me restaurants that had filtered water and all the fruits had peels, which I was worried about. Barranco scenery and paintings were beautiful. If you are not sure, book this tour!

5.00Nathaly and her colleagues were amazing! After asking me some questions, Nathaly organized the perfect tour for me in Peru. Although my flight arrived late on Christmas night, Nathaly was at the airport waiting for me. In addition to organizing my time in Lima and being my guide, she orchestrated my time in Cusco. Her liaison, Abrahan, ensured my experience in Cusco with my additional tours met my expectations. When I return to Peru, I will ask Nathaly for her insightful organizational skills again.

5.00I had the most amazing tour with Nathaly. She is so knowledgeable, kind and funny. The tour was well timed. Started in the morning at the market tasting local fruits. Art tour, coffee tasting, pisco and ice cream tasting was divine. So much information packed into a short amount of time. Highly recommend!!!

5.00I decided to do this tour last minute during a solo trip to Miraflores in Lima. I have chosen to do The Tasty and Colorful Lima Tour, the tour started in Miraflores and ended in Barranco, then they drove me back to my hotel. Nathaly is very knowledgeable and shared a lot of interesting information throughout the tour. She knows her ways around and picked the best places for a foreigner who wants to experience the peruvian flavors around Miraflores y Barranco. Barranco became a special place for me with its beautiful and touching street art! I will go back and for sure contact Nathaly to book another one of the tours they offered. Nathaly and the Thraveling Hearts team are very responsive, extremely helpful and a joy to spend some hours with. I fully recommend them!!!
