Acropolis

Sightseeing in Athens starts with the hill of Acropolis which will make your day. On the historical hill, you will have the opportunity to see the Odeon of Herodes Atticus, the Temple of the Athena Nike, the monumental gateway (Propylaea), the Erechtheum and of course the famous Parthenon, the main temple dedicated to the virgin goddess Athena.

Propylaea

The Propylaea is the monumental entrances to the sacred area dedicated to Athena, the patron goddess of the city. Built by the architect Mnesicles with Pentelic marble, their design was avant-garde. To the south-west of the Propylaea, on a rampart protecting the main entrance to the Acropolis, is the Ionian temple of Apteros Nike.

Both driver & tour guide were 100% professional, and readily helped my husband who had difficulty walking. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and put everything we saw in context. The driver made us feel safe even as he navigated crazy traffic. A really great tour of the Acropolis & highlights of Athens. I’ll definitely book with this company in the future.

You do the acropolis by yourself without the guide which is nice because it is so busy! Theodore is very good and very knowledgeable! But If you are with people you do not know they may not have the same plans as you. So better to book with people you know.

Evangelos our driver met us at the port as arranged. He introduced himself with a big smile and then led us to the car, which was nice and cool inside with water provided. He asked if there was anywhere specific we wanted to see etc. The half day was amazing, got to see so much,didn't feel rushed at all. His knowledge on Athens was excellent and he was able to answer all our questions. I can not recommend this trip enough but possibly made even better with Evangelos, thank you so much we will take such happy memories home with us.
