We enjoyed the chef Winnie., her knowledge, her patience and her attitude were all outstanding. However, it was a large group of 11 in a tight space. The kitchen and the tables where the cooking took place were dirty, unhygienic, unorganized and made it difficult to enjoy it. Therefore, the value of the class was not worth the price. We will not do this again.

Chef Winnie has so much experience in the kitchen and she was able to make me feel comfortable and confident even though I have very little experience. All of the food was delicious. The time line made sense and all of the food was ready long before it was time to go. I highly recommend booking this experience while you are in Panama

Chef Winnie is a gem. She is entertaining and knowledgeable. Winnie was quick to respond when I messaged her. Her home was very clean and organized for our group of 6. We also had a 9 year old and she had a duller knife available to be safer and was also very understanding when she saw he was very skilled and trustworthy with a regular knife. We all learned something we plan to bring back home to assist with our cooking. The portions of everything was small, but honestly over the time of four hours it was very filling and satisfying. Everyone got to make their own mojitos and she let the kid in our group make his own juice. We didnt have anyone with a food allergy, but she was very ready to be accommodating when we arrived since she herself has allergies. An amazing experience I highly recommend for anyone who wants a real taste of Panama and a personal experience.

I can’t say enough how wonderful the experience was. Intimate and delicious. Chef Winnie is a treasure, inviting you into her home and sharing not just a meal but tips and kindness for a full evening. I left full and excited to try the recipes when I get home. My 9 year old is leaving with an inspiration for cooking!

Chef Winnie taught us some of the secrets of Panamanian cooking. We had an enjoyable evening getting to know another family as we sliced and diced fish, meat and vegetables to make a delicious meal. My two teenage boys were able to put down their phones and participate in a group conversation as they learned how to be prep food for cooking dinner.

Chef Winnie was so gracious and generous with her time. We brought two teenagers, and she made all the recipes easy enough to follow and execute for novices. She is charming and kind and gave us a lovely experience to remember!
