In the morning, we'll explore Khamsum Yueley Namgyal Chorten and Punakha Dzong before making our way back to Paro from Punakha, a journey of approximately 115km taking about 2.5 hours. In the afternoon, we'll visit Chimi Lhakhang. Upon arrival in Paro, you'll have the chance to check in at the hotel and unwind. Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, situated on the west bank of the Mo Chhu river, is a testament to Bhutanese art and architecture, built in 1990 to bring peace to Bhutan and the world. Punakha Dzong, known as the "palace of great happiness," stands majestically at the junction of the Pho Chu and Mo Chu rivers, serving as a significant administrative center and winter residence for the Chief Abbot. Chimi Lhakhang, nestled among rice fields, is a pilgrimage site for childless couples seeking blessings, associated with the Divine Madman, Drukpa Kunley, renowned for his unorthodox methods of enlightenment.
