I don’t often write reviews despite travelling many places in the world but this was such an incredible experience! From booking until the day we left! Excellent communication with Lloyd before we went, with helpful info and quick replies to questions, and throughout the time in camp to ensure every day ran smoothly. The warm welcome and amazing hospitality from Lloyd, David and Gladys. The most friendly social evenings around the braai either at their home base or in the camp restaurant. Tasty “local” food; soooo good! And then the perfect relaxation in Africamp cabins in paradise of a setting right on the lakes edge, with the a “not to be missed” wood fired hot tub (that was always ready). A personal early morning walk, David just knows his stuff, so interesting to learn about flora and fauna and the little critters and birds, as well as showing us the way to the most beautiful waterfall off the beaten track before the stunning Blyde River cruise. The visit to the rehabilitation centre really put everything into perspective before truly appreciating the magnificent Kruger and all it had to offer. I honestly have not got the words to describe what we saw over the two days in the Reserve, the luck we had in spotting so many animals in their own environment, with all the amazing guides we had (Lloyd himself one afternoon, who changed our very wrong negative attitude about hyena!) A magic that we will never forget and cannot thank you all enough, keep doing what you do!

Such a great experience. What made it so much better was the personal experience we had thanks to David and Lloyd. If you are looking for an intimate experience with Africa/Safari this is the place to book with. You meet other travelers and learn so much from this experience.

My family had an absolutely wonderful time on this trip! Transportation to and from Johannesburg and the Kruger area was very smooth, and Lloyd, David, and the rest of our guides and drivers were all attentive and very accommodating to any of our needs. We had a sunset safari the first day, a scenic boat cruise in the Blyde River Canyon and a visit to the sanctuary the second day, and finally 2 full days of safari in Kruger National Park. We were so in awe of the incredible variety of wildlife we saw and equally impressed with Lloyd’s expertise! We were consistently amazed by how well he could spot the animals and how much knowledge he could share on them. Not only did we see a lot, we really learned a lot too! We were especially grateful for the lengths he went to in order to bring us to the best locations for wildlife viewing, and we were lucky enough to witness some extraordinarily rare sightings, including a magnificent white lioness and a baby leopard hunting birds. Lloyd’s cooking was also great and it was lovely to have a home-cooked meal and some time to relax in the hot tub they prepared for us at the end of every day. All in all, very happy with our experience!

We had a wonderful journey. Lloyd was our leader and was fantastic! He showed his knowledge and experience at Kruger while explaining and finding the animals. In his spare time made us yummy homemade dinners. We were catered and looked after. His copilot David drove us to all events and was very helpful as well. We were clueless but with their attitude and guidance made it a lifetime memory. A unique and personal experience that you wouldn’t be able to find on any other tour.

What an incredibly special, memorable, and authentic experience! This was my husband’s and I last stop on our honeymoon and it was the perfect way to end our month of travel in Africa. The transportation was well organized from Johannesburg and the accommodation was in a nice remote location with animals frequently walking by our room. Our driver David, who picked us up and also took us to the animal center and Blyde Canyon was very friendly and so subtly funny! What made our time there particularly special was Lloyd, our safari guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and you can tell his 30 years experience gives him such an array of knowledge and stories to share. Not to mention he is an excellent cook and the meals he prepared for us were some of our favorite on the whole trip! We really appreciated his kind and peaceful manner. It made the experience both thrilling and relaxing knowing we were in such capable hands. You won’t find a bette guide than Lloyd, guaranteed! We also really appreciated Trista, who took such amazing photos to share with us! We were so sad to leave and hope to return again someday!

This review is long overdue, but I want to give an amazing kudos to Lloyd and his team for an outstanding Safari experience. We booked a five-day group safari with the luxury tent accommodation, and my friends, and I had an absolutely, wonderful time on the excursion. I will say that this experience is much more than just a safari. Lloyd and his crew are truly passionate about what they do and that shines through as we went on both our day- and night- time safaris inside and outside Kruger, our visit ot the Moholoholo Wildlife animal sanctuary, our cruise through Blyde River Canyon (the 3rd largest canyon in the world), and our morning nature walk. Prior to booking our safari with Lloyd, my friends and I did much research. We wanted to find a trusted safari trip that allowed for a real personal and intimate experience, and a variety of opportunities to experience Kruger, that did not break the bank and Lloyd’s safari does just that! What really clinched our decision to book with Lloyd were the amazing reviews. If time and price permits, I highly recommend booking the 5-day excursion because there is just so much to see at Kruger. I also recommend booking the luxury tent accommodation as it includes air conditioning and hot tub. Wifi is available; but, it is limited. Also, to note, you may experience loadshedding as most of South Africa undergoes periods of electricity shut off. The food was great and Lloyd and his crew and able to accommodate any dietary restrictions. TLDR; book this safari! You will not regret it!

My partner and I had an excellent time with Lloyd & David! We stayed for 4 nights & did a sunset safari, 2 days in Kruger, a visit to Moholoholo, a Blyde River Canyon cruise, and a guided bush walk. Some animal highlights included: - sightings of all of the “big 5”in the wild throughout our time - at least 100 elephants - a cheetah in the wild - several babies, including baboons and zebra - wild dogs, which we saw 2 days in a row! the 2nd sighting involved a riveting scene of the dogs playing with several zebra and 2 hyena nearby Lloyd was extremely knowledgeable. He shared SO much information throughout our time in Kruger and beyond and managed to keep things conversational without “lecturing.” You could tell that he was truly passionate about what we did and saw. The accommodations were great: clean and equipped with what we needed while maintaining the “outdoorsy” feel of camping. It was uncharacteristically rainy, and they were great at making sure we were well-equipped and able to partake in our planned activities. I would definitely return & would recommend Lloyd & crew for your Kruger region adventures!

I’ve just finished an incredible five day safari and I cannot recommend it enough. Communication was excellent before and throughout the entire trip. The food was amazing and the location of the camp is so peaceful. There were even zebras at the pool one morning. Seen all of the big 5 on a game drive and Lloyd and Breton were great at spotting all of the animals. Lloyd is extremely knowledgeable and shared so many facts about everything we encountered in Kruger and on the bush walk. He went out of his way to find all of the animals and stopped for ages at each animal so I could get photos. Had a great trip to Moloholo rehab centre and blyde canyon and David was an excellent guide, sharing lots of information along the way. It was the highlight of my trip in South Africa, truly an unforgettable experience.

Had a fantastic solo trip here. It was much more than I expected! The tour guides were really friendly and informative. I had the joys of Lloyd, Hank, David and Britain show us around. Each were great characters. You cover soo much on each trip which is great The food every night was fantastic. They even accommodated for my dietary which I thought would be hard but they made it easy and painless. Each night ended with a fire bit gathering and explanation of what will happen the next day. I loved the little extra touches they done eg. Blankets on the safari trucks in the morning, the fire pit catch ups. All these things allowed you to get to know one another and have a good understanding of what's happening. This trip definitely suits travellers of all ages and type.

Experiencing the wonder of Kruger National Park was the best part of my trip. I am a 62 year old woman and people who run this camp were just amazing, always making sure I was comfortable and happy. We had delicious meals outside under the African sky. All of the guest had meals together and it felt more like a family gathering then a “hotel” The safari guides were the main ingredient for a great Kruger Experience. They provided so much education regarding the animals and the park. It was clearly obvious how much pride they had in their jobs and in Kruger. This trip to South Africa didn’t start too well, but because of Lloyd my trip ended with so much happiness! I would 100% recomend these guys for an authentic, honest and ethical safari experience! Thank you !
