Debark to Sankober driving to Sankober. We will stop along the way to handle park fees, etc. If you like, we can drop you in or around Buyit Ras for a 3-4 hour hike to Sankober, which passes close to the escarpment edge. Nearing Sankober, you will have beautiful views on both sides of the escarpment ridge and where you will likely see the endemic Gelada baboons. In Sankober, you will be met with your supplies.

Simien Mountains National Park
Trek from Sankober to Geech From Sankober, depart into a valley, through which the Wazla (or Koba) River runs. (This river is often dry). Coming out of the valley you will have views of the Jinbar River waterfalls falling into the Geech Abyss. Continuing along, you will cross the Jinbar River and ascend into the village of Geech.

Trek from Geech to Chenek – drive back Gonder After an early breakfast, depart from Geech to the peak of Imet Gogo at 3926m. Here you’ll have spectacular views over the lowlands – one of the highlights of the trip. As you continue to Chenek, you will pass Korbete Metia, a solid rock wall which opens up exposing beautiful views over the lowlands and the escarpment. . In the afternoon driving to Gondar town.

4.00We did the 4 days hiking in simien mountain, Arre has a good team, we had a wonderful time during the hike, only the weather was a bit cold, and the sleeping bag was not warm enough, otherwise was perfect.

5.00We did the 3 day trek in Simien and it was a wonderful experience. It's an amazing place and Arre and his team treated us great. Always very attentive and attentive to anything we might need. They did the impossible because we enjoyed the experience to the fullest. In addition, they helped us with all the arrangements we need before and after our stay with them. Fully recommended.

5.00I have been planning to come to Ethiopia for good 2 years. Ever since I found out about the region of Tigray and its Chapel in the Sky Abuna Yemata Guh, it immediately became my fascinating idea. This trip would have not happened without our amazing guide Arre. If you are looking for a fun and full of culture and history experience go with Arre! Besides being an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide, he is a very kind and helpful person. We were able to cover the main cultural attractions, eat at the best local places, and had long intersecting conversations about the country, history and life in general. He even helped us to organize the plane tickets on the way back (there were none available). Overall he made our time in Ethiopia unforgettable! I can’t wait to come back and explore the southern part of the country and of course I will do it with Arre :)

5.00We met Arrè by chance in Aksum and this was really a huge luck! He organized our trip from Aksum to Debark and from there to Semien Mountains. The whole Trip was just amazing and very well organized. Arre stayed in touch to make sure we have great experience! Besides that we hat a great day trip in Aksum, where we talked a lot about Ethiopia with him and had a lot of fun!
