Dorze Village
A Jebena Tours Ethiopia team will pick you up from the arbaminch airport. After you have lunch together with the Jebena tours team, you will drive to the Dorze tribe, which is 22km from arbaminch town, and you will visit the Dorze tribe. The Dorze are a tribe of inhabitants of the Dorze Highlands. This tribe is known for its elephant-face-shaped huts and its traditional weavers. After you visit the Dorze tribe, we will drive back to arbaminch town.

Early in the morning, after you have breakfast, you will go on a boat trip on Lake Chamo to see crocodiles where they have a sun bath, you will see hippos and many birds.
Konso
The Konso tribes are one of the most famous ancient tribes in the region. Konso tribe is known for its walled village, and the village is registered as a World Heritage by UNESCO. The Konso people are known for protecting the environment as well, by making steps in the mountains. Then drive to Turmi and spend the night in Turmi lodges.

The Hamer tribe, which occupies the most territory in the Omo valley region, is estimated to number around 55,000 people. They are a famous tribe, particularly for their bull-jumping ceremony. Bull jumping is a ceremony, a rite that allows the passage of men from one age group to another. The Hamer women are known for their colourful leather dresses and dreadlocked hairstyles.
In the early morning, after you have breakfast, we will drive to Omorate to visit the Dasenech tribe. Before we reach Dasenech village, we will cross the Omo river on a wooden carved boat. Then you will experience the life of the Dasenech tribe. Dasenech is one of the unique tribes in the region. The Dasenech tribes are known for their egg-shaped huts built by women.

In the early morning, we will drive to karo and you will visit the karo tribes and the charmful view of the omo river. Karo tribes are inhabitants of the omo river bank and they well known for body painting.

In the early morning, we will drive to the Mago national park to visit one of the ancient tribes in the Omo valley, the Mursi tribe. The Mursi women are known for their lip piercing and putting plates on their lips; an unmarried woman’s lower lip will be pierced and then stretched over a year. After we visit this unique tribe, we will drive back to Jinka for your flight back to Addis Ababa, which is the end of the tour.

5.00The tour to Omo Valley is definitively something not to be missed in Ethiopia. The Omo Valley tribes and landscapes are amazing, each one with its own characteristics, of course. Even in 5 or 6 days, there remains a lot to discover, but maybe we'll come back someday. Jebena Tours is well organized and Dagim, our guide, and Medhani, our driver, were great, very professional but also very kind and friendly. Totally recommended.

5.00I spent incredible days in Ethiopia and I am immensely grateful to Mahammed from Jebena Tours Ethiopia. The trip was perfect, visiting some tribes in the Ono Valley, visiting the incredible danikil depression and ending in the beautiful, cozy and faith-filled Lalibela. Thank you for these 12 days together and I highly recommend the company and also Mahammed.

5.00This is without a doubt one of the most incredible experiences we have ever had in our lives. Mohammed is an amazing guide and this tour would certainly not be the same without him. We visited several tribes and places in the Omo Valley region and our guide told us all the details possible so that we could understand everything about these tribes. We had the opportunity to enter the local house and experience real life. The hotels/lodges that were arranged by our guide were just perfect, places always very clean and organized. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to take this tour with the best person possible!

Jebena stood out among all of them, to plan my trip in detail, advising what to do where to visit & gave me options to pick from. I had a fantastic 7 days tour experience by Jebena tours. From picking up at airport to dropping back an all inclusive tour was very well planned with private guide and car. I travelled and spent time at the OMO valley visiting the tribes, experiencing the untouched culture of (Dorze, Konso, Dasenech,Karo,Hamer,Ari & Mursi) Guide knows everything, he is the expert and one of the best guide I have had, full of energy and kept me interactive sharing knowledge on culture, landscape. 5.00It was incredible trip. We visited 5 tribes and also were able to have a boat trip to see hippos and crocodiles. First of should highlight the organization and all extra requests we had on our journey were well done, and trust me we had a lot as we traveled with kids. The program of the journey is very fulfilled and interesting. I’m still under the effect of emotional explosion which I’ve got by seeing the beauty of other life of the tribe people. Very kind and responsible driver, who took care of our baby when he was sleeping that we could go and visit villages, extremely talented guide Mehamed, who deeply knows about everything we saw. Highly recommend to try this journey if you want to fall in love with Africa!
