My lovely driver Shiv was brilliant and careful and cautious and really helpful and informative. Also my guides were excellent and looked after me really well. They were all brilliant at their jobs and were really cheerful and helpful. The tours were first class and I felt like a VIP throughout. I was unlucky enough to arrive two days late for my tour but Sonia was able to re-arrange it so I did not miss out. I was able to see the main architectural highlights and also experience the crafts and culture and the way of life of the people in Delhi, Agra and Jaipur and I have countless incredible photos as a souvenir of a wonderful trip.

Booking process with Ms Sonia, was a dream. Very easy to deal with and good communication. Upon arriving in New Delhi, we were contacted and greeted by our fantastic driver Rampal. Not only was he a very skilful and professional driver, navigating the chaotic streets with calm and ease, but he was also so very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about his country. We had a wonderful 5 days being driven by and learning from Rampal who always made us feel comfortable, safe, and most welcome! Our first day in New Delhi was amazing. We were blown away by all the new sights, sounds, and smells! It is a very impressive city that we were glad to have explored. The rickshaw ride through Old Delhi was a highlight of the day and an experience we will never forget. Our tour guide Sunny was so helpful and informative. He knew so much history and information about each location and really helped us understand this new country, giving us excellent advice, tips, and recommendations that served us very well for the rest of the trip! Onward to the breathtaking Agra, which was truly the experience of a lifetime. The majesty of the Taj Mahal by sunrise can not be sufficiently expressed in words and the Red Fort was a jaw dropping, eye opening wonder that has us in awe around every turn!! Our tour guide in Agra was Vijay who was so passionate about this city and the locations he took us to. He was a wealth of knowledge and really helped us to understand the depth of history in this incredible city. He also led us safely around the very crowded locations and took many exceptional photographs of us, leaving us with some outstanding tangible memories of this mesmerising city. The hotel in Agra was lovely and comfortable and breakfast was delicious!! On the way to our next stop, we stopped at the epic Fatehpur Sikri which was surprising in its impressive scale, history and beauty. Our charming guide Bunty took us around this striking moment, giving us rich historical details and sharing a joke or two! It was wonderful addition to our journey. Our next stop was Ranthambore and despite arriving quite late, the hotel staff were very accommodating and the hotel itself was just gorgeous! Our tiger safari was early the next morning, and whilst we didn't see any tigers, we saw an abundance of other delightful animals in the lush jungle, and many interesting and unexpected sights on our way there and back through the town. Our guide and driver did their very best to make this lovely experience a memorable one. Our final destination of the tour was the spectacular Jaipur. After a small glitch with the accommodation booking, that was quickly remedied, our hotel was wonderful and welcome. The next day we spent sightseeing in Jaipur and was one of the most awe-inspiring of our lives! There is just so much to take in, from the astounding forts and palaces, the mind blowing observatory, to the resplendent Pink City, the sumptuous palace museum, and even to the bustling streets of the city itself! Everything about this stop was fascinating and fantastic! Our guide Rajesh truly helped us to get the most out of this day. He had such a great understanding of the city and it's history, was able to clearly explain to us every aspect of each location and did so with such depth and joy that we couldn't help but be captivated at every turn! Jaipur really was a fabulous way to end what had been a truly magical and memorable holiday! At each of the locations, there are stops to various factories and workshops that give a bit of insight into how the iconic crafts of India are created. Whilst it is very clearly an opportunity to sell these items, it is also incredibly interesting and, for the most part, time we found well spent. We were also met at almost all of the locations by local people, either selling their wares or asking for money. At times this was a little confronting and whilst it didn't sour our experience at all, it is something I recommended anyone taking this trip needs to prepare themselves for. Overall, we had a wonderful time and we highly recommend this trip to anyone who is limited for time and wants to explore a little of this extraordinary country!!

This was a family trip for four night and five days. First day was tour of Delhi— heavy rain was slight challenge. Second day, we left early morning to Agra where Taj Mahal is. It took Approximately 3-4 hr drive to arrive at the hotel. Grand Murcure was very nice hotel and we were given a room with view of Taj Mahal. Around 5 pm, we were greeted by local guide who was extremely knowledgeable and respectful. He helped us tour Taj Mahal for evening sight seeing and next morning early visit to Taj Mahal. It was highlight of our entire tour and my family enjoyed every moment of it. Our tour guide at Agra made everything smooth and gave thorough history of the Taj Mahal which was entertaining and educational. Due to such an overwhelming experience at Taj Mahal, I didn’t know what to expect at Jaipur. However, Jaipur had its own unique surprises and my family had another wonderful day of informational & entertaining tour. We were guided by another local Jaipur guide who was also very helpful and knowledgeable. At Jaipur, student ID is required for children of foreigners to receive student price (usually 1/2). Also most places only took cash for admission fee. I found out exchange rate is the worst at the airport and it’s easy to find exchange places while traveling so no need to change lump sum at the airport. Also, Using Uber was cheaper than getting around by taxi. Sonya (owner of the Joyful Holidays) was very personal and attentive. Our driver was also very prompt & helpful. The entire team worked diligently to make our experience worth some of the obstacles we encountered. Would recommend Joyful Holidays for exploring India.

You’re continuously amazed as this solo guided tour with driver and guides starts from Delhi either from the airport or your hotel. The timing worked well since returning was after the holiday parade for me. This particular tour gives options for the star quality of the hotels, so if common necessities are needed, go a star higher. Most of India’s hotels are completely different from each other. Get your hotel list from the organizer as early as possible. I did a three star option, and was already prepared with most of my necessities. It included towels and shampoo/gel/kettle. Breakfast styles vary. Your driver will guide you to general stores as needed, so take a shorter lunch break each day if needing necessities. In Delhi, there are photo op stops and visits through mosques, memorials, and monuments with the landscaped government buildings as a visual treat. Lunch suggestions included both local and western food menus. My guide, Indu, gave a personalized touch with cultural descriptions and a lovely tea time presentation of locally made rugs, scarves, and traditional clothing. My suggestion is to only do one gallery presentation for the five days and explore other markets the rest of the days. Make sure you know where the ATMs and services are throughout the day, as your driver can stop for you. Taking the train to Agra was really easy since the company organized the purchase of the ticket. Navigating through the train station is self-explanatory, but the drivers are available as needed. The train ride was mixed with larger tours, so interacting was fun. There’s also a food tray offering with tea. During this tour, I was guided through the Red Fort and Taj Mahal. Weather adjusted the order of sightseeing. Anushka was my guide for this day full of historical knowledge. He personalized the sightseeing with well-timed transitions. Lots of hidden gems while in Agra were highlighted with painted murals throughout the city. Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri Stepwell had amazing photo ops. Both my driver Pooran and guide Bandi are great at taking photos. There are temples and markets in these areas, and they can both guide you where it is good to shop. There’s a cute rooftop lounge in Agra called The Salt Cafe. In Agra, you will see more monkeys, so it’s best to ask the driver for transport or request a hotel near the business streets. My driver Pooran was from Agra also, and he navigated the 5 days with exceptional service. He even accompanied to the local shop when needed! Jaipur involved two nights of stay in order to get an earlier start back to Delhi on Republic Day. Jaipur is very alive with palace museums and courtyards as well as shopping, so let your guide know if you prefer to see the walking markets over the distributor galleries. Jaipur is where you’ll see more elephants, camels, and cows. You’ll also see the manicured areas of Hawa and Jal Mahal structures while roaming through Amber Fort and City Palace. The Jantar Mantar Observatory was a nice end to the guided trips with Ydilip. He was able to read the crowd and time transitions well. We found two great spots within the attractions for coffee and tea times. Amazing views! There is more shopping and live artistry inside these sights. Pooran was ready for pick-up at each spot every day since he collaborates timing with all guides. Note that all sights have a special foreigner price, all cities have similar shops with different prices, and most items can be bought with card readers. Cash Only signs are very common though. Some price quotes you will get in Euros or USD, so ask sellers to specify. On the way back to New Delhi, you’ll have a chance to eat and shop more at the Dawat Restaurant. It’s at the mid-point of the 4-5 hour drive which has scenic views of mountains, farms, and more. For me personally, it was a good first-timer solo-tourist trek.

I did a solo 5 day tour after a business trip to India. This company, especially my driver Ajay Kushwaha, was phenomenal. From the airport pick up in Delhi, to the tours and the guides I was literally treated like royalty. Due to the winter months the guides made suggested tour rearrangements based on the weather which allowed me to see the Taj Mahal in full sun instead of fog. There were some shopping stops involved but none were high pressure and all were high quality. Ajay literally took care of me like a member of his family, was an awesome DJ and a big highlight of the trip in and of himself. I hope that this company does more tours in India. I will be signing up for them.

My daughter and I just completed an amazing tour with Joyful Holidays of Delhi and Jaipur. Our driver Parveen was incredible, he maneuvered the traffic like a champ and we felt very safe with him and his driving. When we had to check out of our hotels and carry our luggage we knew that it was looked after. All of our tour guides were excellent as well. Shout out to: Alvina, Tlib, Bunty and Rajesh. We felt very safe with this team on our side and if we come back to India we will go back out with Joyful Holidays.
