I want to be very clear that the safari experience, both in terms of the itinerary and our guide, Damien, were absolutely phenomenal and deserve 5/5! However, some of the lodgings, namely, the hotels we stayed at on night 1 and 4 were just okay (at the first hotel, it was noisy, there was mold on the ceiling, overall, it felt like a 2 star hotel; the service at the last hotel was mediocre and they didn’t let us have dinner with our guide, which would have been nice for our last night). Also, the food was great but I explicitly requested western food, they said this would be doable, but they didn’t deliver on this. Bottom line, some of the lodgings were subpar and some expectations weren’t met, but the most important thing, the safari and guide, were amazing!

Our guide Gerald was amazing. He was personable, very well organised, knowledgeable and managed to get our group to see the big 5 and so many other animals. Truly an amazing experience that I will recommend to all of my friends. Shoutout to Chef Puis for cooking amazing and tastey meals for us throughout all the 5 days (Brekky lunch and dinner). There was so much good food we were never left hungry,

Our experience with Suricata Safari was impeccable. Our guide Elias stood out and helped a lot in the quality of the tours, being very careful in the direction, but incredibly able to visualize various animals at a distance as we moved. Elias knew all the details, characteristics and curiosities of the animals, in addition to knowing various points where we could see the main animals. We managed to see all the Big 5 in one day! We visited Tanrangire, Serengueti and Ngorongo. Elijah respected the animals as we watched, without forcing approaching that could bother them, but giving every opportunity for the tourists to see calmly and closely. I would go back to Safari with them for sure.

We had a great time! The tour was really very well organized and all accommodations were great! Lunch was sometimes better than the one in the hotels (and that was good too). Besides, we had the best driver, Amiri. I wish everyone that he catches such a great driver like Amiri, he was funny, a very safe driver and had a very good eye for the animals, he already saw them in a distance. He made the trip even more special for us - it was really incredible!!

Incredible experience. Expertly guided by Steve. Within the first 3 days, we had completed the big 5. The accommodation was second to none. The food was also amazing and catered to the two dietary restrictions in our group (vegetarian/ gluten-free). The safari vehicle was very comfortable and the viewing roof functioned perfectly. All in all 10/10

Did the five day mid range tour with Suricata. On e of my best travel experiences. Organization was top notch. From the pickup to Accomodation to food and the tour itself. There was never a minute where we lacked information. I think we got the best tour guide in all of Africa. Freddie deserves a Nobel price. His expert knowledge of the animals is second to none. Plus his jokes and very very warm nature. Highly recommend

just finished an excellent 5 day safari with suricata. Our guides Melita and Cheddy did an outstanding job, showing and explaining all about the dozens of different animals we saw. Accomodation, particularly at Suricata Boma Lodge, was amazing. Every single staff interaction was incredibly friendly and hospitable. Plenty of delicious food also for vegetarians. Overall easy 10/10.

We had an absolutely unforgettable safari experience, and so much of that was down to Freddie. He is an exceptional guide — incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone has the best possible time. Freddie went above and beyond every single day. He would carefully position the vehicle and pause at the perfect moments so we could get amazing photos without ever feeling rushed. He even navigated some pretty challenging routes to make sure we didn’t miss any wildlife sightings. Thanks to his incredible eyesight and experience, we saw the Big Five — often spotting animals from astonishing distances that we would never have noticed ourselves. What really stood out was the depth of his knowledge. He didn’t just tell us what we were looking at — he explained animal behaviour, ecosystems, and even fascinating details about genetics and evolution. You could ask him anything and he’d have a thoughtful, detailed answer. It made the entire experience so much richer. On top of that, Freddie made sure everyone was comfortable at all times. He checked in regularly, adjusted plans to suit the group, and created such a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere throughout the trip. The accommodation throughout the safari was also fantastic — it genuinely felt like luxury everywhere we stayed. After long days of exploring, it was amazing to come back to such beautiful, comfortable places. Overall, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and Freddie made it truly exceptional. I couldn’t recommend him and Suricata more highly.
